JUST IN: Sources report that former Corpus Christi Independent School Board Trustee John Longoria is set to plead guilty in federal court, facing charges linked to his 2016 tax filings. Shockingly, the documents filed with the United States District Court reveal that Longoria has admitted to the charge of Filing a False Return.

The stakes are high for Longoria, as the maximum penalty for this violation is imprisonment of up to three years and a hefty fine of $100,000. This sudden twist in his legal battles has left the community in disbelief.

It's worth noting that Longoria's troubles with the law didn't start with this tax debacle. In 2020, his home was raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, sending shockwaves through the city.

The courtroom drama is set to unfold, and Corpus Christi residents will be closely watching as the former trustee faces the consequences of his alleged tax misdoings.
