Big shout out to CJ, who's been on air spade duty, saving trees all over the cape. Between root collar excavations, root zone rejuvenations, and trenching for a gas line, he's had a busy and dirty couple weeks!

🍁 senescence (se•nes•cense): The natural aging process where leaves change color, become brittle, and eventually fall from the tree. This is a normal part of the tree's life cycle, especially during autumn.

AKA prime foliage and leaf peeping time! 🍁🍃🍂 This Sugar maple (Acer saccharum) is morphing from its lime green foliage into gorgeous shades of yellow, red, and orange.

Box Tree Moth (Cydalima perspectalis) has made its way to Cape Cod and southern Massachusetts. This caterpillar desimates foliage and kills boxwoods. Treatment is nessacary to save your Boxwoods and help them flourish

🍁🍂 Fall's transformation on Cape Cod... The time of year when the northeast's trees come alive with the warm hues of autumn. As the days get shorter and cooler, trees work their magic. Chlorophyll fades, revealing vibrant colors. Different tree species exhibit various color changes, creating a diverse and picturesque landscape.
From maples to white birches, the Cape's foliage becomes a canvas of reds, oranges, and yellows. 🍂🍁

Little bit of a different view today as we attend Day 1 of . This particular session included incredibly useful information regarding Beech Leaf Disease, an emerging threat to Beech trees with very few proven options for management (as of now) 🍃

If you see signs of BLD, get in touch with us (or an arborist of your choosing) so that it can be reported to the appropriate parties for future research and monitoring. While there isn't a completely proven solution to managing Beech Leaf Disease (yet), proactively addressing the overall health of your properties Beech trees - particularly high value feature Beeches - is imperative in helping reduce the risk of infestation.

Pick your poison... Our 65' Terex bucket truck or 72' Platform Basket spider lift are just a couple of the ways we can get 🆙 for pruning, removals or cabling. Today the crew didn't have to choose and used the bucket AND the lift for some dormant season pruning on a couple neighboring properties in Falmouth.
