Hello there, curious parents! As an infant physical therapist, people ask me developmental questions all the time. SWIPE to gain new insights into your baby's incredible visual development during their first year of life. 👶🏻

Remember, every baby is unique, and these milestones are just rough guidelines. Some babies may reach them earlier or a bit later, and that's perfectly normal. Generally, by the age of 3 or 5 vision will be as clear as an adult's, but fully develops by age 10. As a parent, the most important thing you can do is to provide an enriching and stimulating environment that allows your baby's vision to flourish. 🌱

And you wouldn't have it any other way! But if you did...no one would blame you. Be compassionate towards yourself - parenting is a full-time job and takes a lot of hard work. I think you are doing great! 🥳

This week I had the opportunity to present to the physical therapy community at the TPTA conference on “The Physical Therapist’s Role in Breastfeeding as a First Movement Milestone” and how PTs can work with lactation consultants to help families meet their feeding goals.

Movement improves breastfeeding success and breastfeeding helps promote motor development. It’s a beautiful cycle, but we know access to care is limited. Let’s help change that by increasing awareness to healthcare professionals!

Thank you to all the wonderful professionals who showed interest and engagement in our topic. We are still buzzing from the presentation!
