Since I've been in office we've passed many pieces of life affirming legislation in Oklahoma. Here are a few programs available to expectant mothers and families. As long as I serve in this role, we will continue to pass legislation that supports Oklahoma families.

Our family wishes you a Merry Christmas!
The bravery and service of American veterans keeps our country free. My grandfather, a WWII Distinguished Flying Cross recipient, was a hero to me growing up. I know countless other Oklahoma families look up to their hero veterans too. Veterans represent the best among us. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who have worn the uniform of our great country. To all our veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice!
THANK YOU! I'm very honored to return to the Oklahoma Senate to represent . Maressa, the kids and I appreciate your support so much. It was great to see so many people exercising their right to vote. It took a while last night for the results to come in, but the outcome was never in doubt. I look forward to serving in the Senate and continuing the work of getting Oklahoma's economy going.
Maressa, the kids and I just want to say thank you to all the family, friends and volunteers who helped out during the campaign - especially in a year like 2020! It means so much to us and we couldn’t do it without you. There are still a few hours left until the polls close and we’ll be out waving signs and working hard until the finish. Let’s do this!
Ready to vote! Long lines here at Precinct 139. Polls are open until 7pm so get out and vote!
We’re in the final hours. Great to speak with volunteers at a get-out-the-vote rally in NWOKC. There’s a lot on the line tomorrow. Let’s get it done!
Those who wear the uniform of our nation and bravely serve deserve our utmost respect. My Grandfather Selwyn Willis earned the Distinguished Flying Cross in WWII. He was an early positive influence in my life and one of my heroes. My father in law, Bobby Dale Seat, was a Purple Heart recipient who served in Vietnam. Because of the service of men and women like them, our nation is free. To all veterans, thank you so much for your service!
At OU, I was fortunate enough to earn a fellowship in Washington. I wouldn’t have been able to afford to spend a summer in DC without it. I was interested in pro-life issues so I interned for Dr. Tom Coburn. I learned a lot from Dr. Coburn that summer and it sparked a relationship that would greatly impact my career. In addition to pro-life issues, I was inspired by Dr. Coburn’s work to stop wasteful government spending. He was tenacious and I loved helping the team uncover wasteful spending and highlighting it for the American people. I was fortunate enough to again work for Dr. Coburn on his US Senate campaign and in his Senate office. Our team again worked feverishly to highlight as much wasteful spending as possible. Every tax dollar is hard-earned by taxpayers and deserves to be spent wisely. I took that philosophy with me to the Oklahoma Senate. I’m always asking state agencies “why are we doing this, and can we do it more efficiently?” It’s also why I authored a bill to create the Legislature’s first fiscal watchdog office. That will help lawmakers for generations to come to measure the effectiveness of state programs and make sure our tax dollars are used wisely. I look forward to continuing that work in the Oklahoma Senate.

Public education has played an important role in my life. I was behind in reading until Ms. Lee (a reading specialist) intervened in summer school and changed the trajectory of my life. Now my kids are in public school and they too have amazing teachers helping them to realize their educational potential. I’m thankful for our public schools. That’s why in the Senate, I’ve worked hard to get more resources into the classroom to help our teachers challenge our students and prepare them for success in college or careers.
