Now that the heat is starting to pass it’s time to think about your Tesla AC. Maintenance with replacing this filter will help keep your ac nice and cool by preventing the filter clogging and allowing the debris to contaminate the entire ac system. Not sure the age of this desiccant bag since the car was used. This X does have nearly 250k miles on it. The service will also replace the Freon and oil are at proper levels.

I’ve often wondered about the plastic tip. I’ve seen many cars that are missing them and most of them still charge fine. Mine broke off a few months back so I decided to see what happens. I continued to be able to charge with all Tesla chargers for a long time. Then last night the charge cord would no longer latch since the wand would not fully insert at the super charger. My wall connector also failed to insert fully at the same time. Somehow the missing tip pin was no longer aligned enough to fully accept a charge cord. The J1772 adapter seems to be more tolerant as it continued to lock in place. Today I changed the pin and with no other changes the charging cords all fully insert and charging is all good again. Glad to put this experiment to rest. If your tip breaks off you may want to have your port repaired before you get stuck not being able to charge.

After market part selection. One important aspect of a aftermarket part is the fit and functionality of the replacement part. It may be hard to see in this photo but the n2itive camber arm has positioned the lowering arm attachment point exactly as an original arm. I’ve recently worked on a car with other adjustable arms that Tesla has refused to work on. Once I had seen the arms I understood why. The adjustable arm on the car also had an adjustable lowering link point. The adjustable mount was needed since that arm would change the spacing of the point as the arm is adjusted. That would cause the ride height sensor to report a value that’s now expected and would result in a changed of ride height. Basically lowering or raising a car. That might be desirable if one also wished to change ride height. However only the rear would be adjustable and would take a low of work to ensure both sides of the rear were set the same. I can see in this case why Tesla did not want to work on the car as the owner was having air suspension issues. Tesla wanted to restore the car to stock before fixing the issue. We fixed the owners suspension issues which were actually unrelated to the aftermarket camber arms.
