My services include state of the art equipment, software, and a creative mind usually found hanging outside the box. With his musical roots being planted in the church at the tender age of 4 playing the drums and later adding the keys, Cupidblk has worked over the years to perfect his craft and his sound. His father was influential in making sure those talents and gifts grew through the years. In

High School, he joined the Marching Band which helped him to develop his reading skills, introduced him to his love for classical music, and piqued his interest in chord structures and syncopated rhythms. These skills were sharpened as he worked in the studio with his family, engineering and producing, which allowed him to explore and expand his craft to new heights. His mentors, Jonathan Dubose and Gerald Isaac, also nurtured his talent as a producer and songwriter. In his teen years, Cupidblk and his family moved to Memphis, TN where he continued in music, playing for Presiding of the Church of God In Christ Bishop G.E. His heart full of hope was almost crushed when all their belongings, including their cherished studio equipment, was stolen during the move. Instead of letting this discourage him, Cupidblk used it as motivation to grind harder to make a better life for his loved ones. Over the years, his work ethic and evolution opened doors for him to work with many local artists and some notable names such as Alaina Rose, Archbishop J.C. and Lady Gloria White, Melaine Daniels, Natalie Wilson, Maurice Stuckey and Emi Secrest. Recently, Cupidblk finally decided to step out on his own and get a piece of the spotlight. His debut single, “Slowfade” is an ode to the 90’s New Jack Swing we all love but his style is versatile and out of the box. He has a unique ability to adapt to any genre authentically, as if it were his genre of choice. Look at his catalogue and you will find a little Gospel, CCM, Country, Reggae, Hip-Hop and of course, R&B. Cupidblk is merging his love for music with his love for animation to gift the world his music. Between videos that pay homage to Kid’n’Play and his favorite childhood heroes, you can catch Cupidblk and his engineer, Gigz, talking about the hottest pop culture topics.
