Bulldozing of hundreds of Muslim houses in Karimganj district of Assam is again part of an ethnic cleansing project. The 'anti-establishment' drive, as referred to by the officials are taking place denying the constitutional rights of Muslims to seek judicial intervention. People who have been living in the place since independence are the scapegoats of ethnic politics which prevails in the state. The authorities are not even taking measures to rehabilitate the homeless. People who had lost their homes have nowhere to go now. Muslims of Assam are being victimized by the state for their ethnic and religious identities.
