Thanks to Pauline, Caitlin, and Jim for helping out this morning. We removed 14 bags of trash from Locust, Main, and South Streets! Thanks for cleaning with us. Our August clean-up will be at Historic Sugar Grove Cemetery where we will be helping with some painting and beautification. More details coming soon. 🪣🧹🦺
PSA: We do not recommend spreading lava rock when it’s wet. All of these gloves were wet AND full of red rock particles. However, washing them 4 times seemed to do the trick and our work gloves will be ready for the next clean-up, good as new! 🧤 🦺🪣🧹👍🏼 (video of the process in the comments… lesson learned 🙃)
Thanks to our great volunteers from Alkermes who spent this wet morning beautifying our downtown! We pulled weeds, cleaned up litter, and placed decorative stone in 38 tree beds. Thank you for cleaning with us!
Looking for a volunteer opportunity this week? On Wednesday we will be weeding downtown tree beds, sidewalks, and spreading 300 bags of decorative rocks! We will be meeting at the Municipal Building at 9am to begin work, all are welcome to come help with this Clean-Up Wilmington beautification project! 6/26 @ 9:00am.

Jones, Terrell, and Cline). In addition, thanks to Caitlin, Pauline, Jim, Paul, Beth, David, and Dustin. Today we cleaned sidewalks, pulled weeds, and cleaned tree beds in preparation for a BIG clean-up event on Wednesday when we will be adding decorative stone with “Alks in Action” and the Juvenile Probation Community Service team. We can’t wait for everyone to see the improvement. Thanks for cleaning with us! 🌳🦺🧹

Our June Clean-Up will be on Saturday the 22nd. We will be meeting at 9am at the Municipal Building at 69 N. South Street. All supplies will be provided and no pre-sign up is required. These clean-up evens are geared for all ages and abilities. See you there!

Litter was removed from multiple downtown streets and alleys, tree beds were weeded, parking lots were cleaned, and sidewalks were swept. 🧹 🪣🦺🧽 8 bags of trash and 4 bags of weeds were collected. 78 volunteers help clean up the city streets - Wilmington News Journal WILMINGTON — Clean-Up Wilmington hosted five clean-up activities in April and had 78 volunteer participants.

We had over 40 volunteers today! The rest of the group from Timbertech started early on the Main Street Pocket Park and on West Sugartree. Our remaining team (pictured) cleaned over 4 miles of streets from CMH to point Park to Xenia Avenue. We collectively cleaned the banks of the creek, parks, and streets and removed 16 bags of litter. We had volunteers from ages 70+ to 8 years old. Everyone can make a difference. Thanks for your time and effort. 🌎🧹💚 See you in May!
