I’ve been in the social space for almost 5 years now and lately I’ve seen that what I do isn’t for EVERYONE (and thank goodness lol we need every work field)

Scams are not for me 🤣 (and shouldn’t be for you either lol) So I’m checking them out and seeing if they are legit because my trust with you is important!

Gods primary motive isn’t to just use you.

I used to pray these prayers all the time “God use me for the kingdom” “I want to be used to tick the devil off” “I want to be used to bring my friends to the Lord”

YES God wants you to do these things, but the primary goal is not just to use you.

He wants to KNOW you.

God used Pharoh, but He knew Moses.
God used King Saul, but He knew David.
God used Judas, but He knew Jesus.

I want to encourage you to change your prayers from “God use me” to “God I want to KNOW you”.

Trust me, that’s when He starts to use you 🙌🏻

I didn’t have a mother. Well, I do- but she was walking a different path than mine from a young age. I had a father and some surrounding family, sure, but I didn’t have a mom.

No one to run to. No one to hold me. No one to brush my play-tangled hair. No one to look up to, to aspire to be like. I didn’t have a mom to tell me about my cycle, period, boys, or to talk to.

So man has it been a gift already, even before I can do most of that , to experience having a girl.

I get to be who I needed. Who I craved.

I get to love her and build her up. I get to be a safe place. I get to teach her about what it means to be a woman of God 🥹

Ah, what a privelage. I can’t wait for the tangled ponytails and talks about love.

I’m sure there’s lots of fights, stubbornness, and hard times that come with it- but one day she’ll be a woman and boy do I hope she runs to me then still.

Ever made fun of someone for prepping? Or are you a Christian who believes it will all be fine because God has it? (Don’t get me wrong He totally does!) but He also had Joseph prepare and store grain 👀 the famine still came. But Joseph had prepared!

I’d rather do it and not need it than need it and not have it. There’s so many reasons to start prepping!

Little of our story:

For us, we had to choose commitment before we got to feel the love.

This is another hard share because I know there are haters watching who are begging to use this as a gossip topic. That’s fine. Just don’t forget to talk about how God redeemed us both through this process.

This brutally painstaking process.

We met college (January of 2018) and I had sworn off guys for the moment because I was coming out of a long term relationship.

But then one day in class someone took my seat (seats aren’t assigned but cmon - that was my seat lol). Instead of saying anything I moved to the next seat available. Next to this really hot guy.

Needless to say some spilled gum, needing “help” with his classes, and few texts later we were hook, line, sinker.

Next thing I knew we were spending every single day together. I was meeting his family. We were doing life together wi

Not even a year into dating we found out we were pregnant… I was freaking out and told him many many times that he could leave and I’d understand. Being the man he is- he knew the right thing to do was stay.

Internally though he held onto some resentment, and so did I.

4 months later we got married because of pressure from his church family. Unfortunately way before we were ready to.

The next 3 years would be filled with long nights, long fights, and just white knuckling our marriage.

Then we did a program called re-engage that changed our life and our family’s future. It taught us how to chase God and tools to undo our habits and hurts. There were many.

We struggled with control, affairs, po*******hy, escalation, not trusting each other, resentments, and oh so much more.

But through rigorous work and 10000% God - we broke through to the other side.

The enemy thought he had us, but Jesus said “you are mine”.

One year ago we broke down every single wall and said “we are going to choose this and committ to this and hope the love comes”.

And boy did it come….

Today we can’t get enough of each other! We are healthy, thriving, and living into what God wanted for us. Let me just say- God is so good. And He can.

Honestly, I have no idea how often I’ll be on here. I was enjoying so many moment of “smelling the flowers” literally and figuratively.
