Here is the grand tour. It took longer than I had imagined due to contractor issues. I can definitely tell people which ones NOT to use!! 🤪🤦‍♀️

Don’t mind the electrical panel. It is getting covered with a hidden door that will have a calendar and cork board for all my thank you cards as well as graduates cards that people send in💚🩵💚

We have a coffee bar and teas available for clients.

Pump area, for new parents to feel and look at different styles. That way they know what they are buying prior to purchasing.

Weight scale to do weighted feeds.

Toys for older siblings to play with 🧸

Thank you to my youngest daughter for capturing this video. I’m loving all the help!

So proud of my daughters talents. She drew a mountain scene for my home office. What a wonderful addition to the Mountain Lactation Office!!

Does your Lactation Consultant have training in massage techniques and incorporates touch in your careplan?

Ask about ways to help your infant with their body tension and how to strengthen that beautiful bond ♥️

As for the cutie on the bottom, that one is claimed. 😂 He is all mine. Baby G just turned 6 months. He was so little in this photo. 6 weeks to be exact.

Reshare of this poll I did about night waking and night feeds.

I know the before picture isn’t the greatest. I should have taken a good laying down photo. Gunner was shaped like a banana 🍌 from a broken collar bone at birth. This affected his body alignment, sucking skills and overall made nursing challenging.

This little bu**er had such a c-curve to the right side.
It made me feel so upset 😭. As an IBCLC, I knew how to help him but it still took time and a team approach. He has a little more body tension to work through but he has made such a BIG improvement!

We used bodywork like infant massage, chiropractic Radiance Chiropractic 864.568.6078 & CST Unwinding Therapies, LLC and of course an IBCLC, me 😂

Work with an IBCLC that does a team approach. That is how you will get to your goal the quickest and best way!

Education is critical in our occupation. I enjoy doing as many CEU’s as possible. I need to find a money tree 🌲 to support this habit.
I’m proud to say your IBCLC has finished this course in late 2021, and has been adding its knowledge into my practice since then.
Is your IBCLC knowledgeable in herbals and how to use them to help your each your goals? It’s ok to ask them this question 🙋🏼‍♀️ to make sure your getting the right LC for your situation.

How amazing is human milk?!?!?♥️♥️💕♥️🙌🏻

Fun fact: one teaspoon of mama's milk contains over 3 million germ killing cells.

One teaspoon of artificial human milk substitute (aka 'formula') has none.

The impact of swaddling upon breastfeeding: A critical review - PubMed 13/06/2023

Have you heard different things about swaddling, especially after birth?!?

What a great read. Skin to skin is 🔑

It helps you read baby’s hunger cues, like hand movement and crying.

Infants swaddled immediately after birth show a delay in initial breastfeeding, less successful suckling at the breast, reduced intake of breastmilk and greater weight loss compared to un-swaddled babies. Swaddling visually obscures feeding cues and reduces crying, thereby eliminating two key feeding prompts typically used by parents/carers.

The impact of swaddling upon breastfeeding: A critical review - PubMed As swaddled babies cry less, and are fed less frequently than un-swaddled babies some clinical trials position swaddling as a 'novel weight regulation tool' to combat obesity. However, in the case of breastfed babies, by reducing feed frequency swaddling may impede maternal milk production and there...

Meet your LC

Hi!

My name is Mara Lubic, I started this company in the summer of 2019, to help local mommies obtain the care and assistance, they deserve during this beautiful journey of childbirth and lactation.

I started my journey into the world of lactation in 2013, after the birth of our second daughter. Our breastfeeding journey with our first daughter didn't reach our goals and expectations, to say the least. Resources where we were stationed were limited and we found it very challenging. I managed to make it about 3 months exclusively with breastmilk, then a total of 6 months with mixed feeds. This was possible due to my own stubbornness and the help and support of my spouse!

Fast forward to 2013, I had our second daughter and was determined to reach our breastfeed goals. I found a local BabyCafe in El Paso, Texas. It was there, where I learned, grew and started this amazing journey!
