Join us on Saturday, Sept 21st from 9am-11am for a Gentle Yoga class and meditation at a private organic wildflower farm in Salem, NJ. After practice, each student will create their own bouquet of flowers: gladiolus, sunflowers, cosmos & zinnias, fresh from the farm. Followed by snacks & drinks to nourish us. Feel the sun on your face, the breeze on your skin as we root into the farms soil! Register on our website.

Do you want to begin your yoga journey this Fall? Join us for our Fall Beginners Series and learn the basics from poses and breathwork to what props work best for you. This series will be held on 4 consecutive Wednesday nights from 7:15pm-8:15pm starting on September 11th. This series will give you all the tools to feel comfortable stepping into a yoga class. Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel and water. Register by September 9, 2024 to reserve your spot.

Happy ! It is important to drink enough water to keep your body hydrated, especially in the summertime. Try adding some lemon or fruit to your water to make it more appealing. Meditation is also a great way to relax and take time for yourself.

Happy ! While the weather is still warm and summer is still upon us, take advantage of this time and go outside. Taking a walk can relieve stress and it gives you a chance to decompress and take time for yourself.

Happy ! The month of August is National Wellness Month. During the summer, it’s easy to let the sun and fun make us forget healthier habits. But, summer is also the perfect time to go outside and take a walk, grill healthy veggies and protein on your barbecue, or swim in a pool!

We often rush through the journey to get to the destination without taking in all that presents itself to us. We resist change & stay firmly in the familiar. This practice will help us BE in the present, paying attention to sensations in the body while embracing the practice of rest. Please bring a blanket. Happy ! This week’s recipe is Cucumbers & Onions - a refreshing summer salad that is easy to make!

Here is the recipe for Cucumbers & Onions.
 
2 medium cucumbers
1 medium red onion
1.5 cups of water
1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
 
Chop cucumbers & onion and place in an 8” x 8”  pyrex dish. Add water, white vinegar, sugar & combine. Place in the fridge for 3 hours.

We had the best time doing Paddle Board Yoga today. Testing out balance as the waves rolled in the bay. Perfect weather, lots of laughs & of course a little falling in the water.

Happy ! For this week’s fresh recipe, we made Cantaloupe & Cucumber Salad. The perfect meal for a hot summer day! Here’s what you need and how to make it:
 
6 cups of chopped cantaloupe
1 lb cucumber chopped
1/2 container of Feta cheese
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp pepper
1 cup of olives coarsely chopped (optional-I do not use)
 
Whisk olive oil, vinegar, salt & pepper in a small bowl. In a large bowl, combine the cantaloupe, cucumbers (olives if using). Add olive oil mixture & stir. Add feta and toss gently.
