I wanted to let everyone know that students will no longer be able to access resources through Everyday Math.
However, ST Math will be available for students to use throughout the summer. It will still be third grade content. They will not move onto fourth grade content until August.
I am happy to continue to load worksheets, videos, etc., for any content area, onto Schoology throughout the summer. Please do not hesitate to ask! It would be my pleasure to help your family continue learning in this way throughout the summer. When you request materials, please be specific about which content area and what skills your student needs to practice. You can send requests via email or my text only number.
There are some new apps we will begin using next year to enhance our place based learning. If you are interested in familiarizing yourself with these over the summer and would like to download them onto your smart phone or tablet, you can search the app store for:

Friday for our 10:00a zoom we will be hosting a special guest. Can you guess who it is?
1. You often see them with technology in their hand.
2. If you need help with research, this person can help!
3. This person is always just a short walk down the hall from
our classroom.
Please join us Friday at 10 to find out!
Dear Fairview Families,
We will soon begin the process of packing up student desks and belongings. I need to know your desires about your child’s school supplies. Fairview plans to do a drive-thru pick up in late May. I will go in next week, to pack up student’s desks. I will only have one day that I am able to be in there, as we cannot all go at the same time, so I will need to know your wishes before I go.
You have a couple of choices:
Choice 1: I bag up everything in the desk (notebooks, supplies, folders, random papers, etc.) to be picked up later in May. I will not be able to sort through anything due to my limited amount of time in the building. You would have to sort through what you want to keep or not at home.
Choice 2: You may choose to leave their supplies at school to be used in our classroom next year. If you choose to leave supplies at school, then the notebooks and workbooks from this year will be recycled. Things that will be kept include only supplies (scissors, rulers, crayons/markers, and so on), folders, unused notebooks. I will NOT be able to hold onto the workbooks, used notebooks, etc. from this year until next year because of a lack of storage, and because I will be moving rooms over the summer. (This choice is unique to our class because of my students looping with me, so other teachers will most likely not be able to offer this.)
If your child has personal items in their desk (books from home, hair ties, fidgets, etc.) and you would like those items returned, then they will be placed in the child’s bag to be picked up at the end of May. If you choose to leave these items at school, I can not guarantee that they will not be lost because of the movement of desks and supplies to our new room.
If you plan to move over the summer out of Fairview attendance area, I need to know this as well to communicate it to office staff.
We are also in the process of designing a way for you to drop of school library books during the supply pick up in late May. I will let you know as soon as I have more information about this.
Sorry, I know this is a lot of information. Thank you for all your patience and understanding during this time! If I find any personal items around the room that are of value, I will bag them up to be moved to our new room and students can look through them next year.
I also plan on ordering the entire class the next round of packets so that you do not have to request it. If for some reason you do NOT want the next packet just let me know.

If you signed up to help with the pledge, don't forget to send me your video. Originally I had said through text, but it appears the resolution is better if you send it via email. Thank you!
Fairview Families,
I hope your families are doing well, I miss each of you! I wanted to give you an idea of/reminders of how to reach me, my office hours, and schedules for the upcoming weeks.

However, you can text or email me with questions as well.

*Optional*
Hello Third Graders!
We want to present you with an opportunity that is optional for you! Since we are having a yucky weather day this Thursday, we decided to zoom as a whole third grade and watch a short movie together! The movie is 41 minutes long and is based on the book written by Beverly Cleary titled “Mouse and the Motorcycle”.
We plan to mute everyone so everyone can hear but will leave the chat open before the movie starts. When you chat you need to make sure that it is appropriate and in English. Please do not type random letters or words! We will turn off the chat once the movie starts.
So bring your popcorn or snack of choice and let’s enjoy some time as a group! Ms. Muchow at "HerChristy Muchow" is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
