The Life Myth can be likened to one’s dream of life, containing our deepest struggles and gifts, and may suggest our direction and meaning in life. This class will (re)introduce you to features of the Life Myth. You'll practice the skill of symbolic thinking. We'll use it to consider our own Life Myths, and how they provide context and framing for our aspirations, struggles, relationships, work and more. Together, we’ll explore how an earliest dream or memory, and how representations of self and others may suggest a long-term relationship and integration process.

Exploring how I can bring more of myself to group facilitation. This might include thoughts, feelings, inner processes and relational ones I have within the group.

What does it mean for me? (Tip: happiness)

What might it mean for the group? It might model something needed in the world: leaders, teachers, parents, and others who are more of their whole selves.

And what does it mean when the group seems to deny this to themselves, to their leaders and facilitators? It might speak to a need they have that the leader be more of a role than a whole person or that the atmosphere actively or passively is against the wholeness of its members and leaders.
