Book Review: Breaking Through the Clouds.

takes it away once again with this brilliant PB biography about an amazing woman Meteorologist--Joanne Simpson. .perezgarcia has produced some striking illustrations- turquoise and
red and bold- just like Joanne.
This amazing PB is a must for every child and adult to read- a masterclass on determination, turning negatives into positives, the importance of note-keeping and finding joy in the process before success!
I loved all the lyrical language conjuring up images of the clouds and tying so well into the storm of emotions Joanne experienced at different phases in her life.

delivers a deep philosophical message through a simple picture book about a bear who doesn't want a fish, but gets one anyway!

Bear has great expectations of winning a great big teddy bear at the carnival. But instead she gets a fish. A very small fish. Bear is so very big and Fish is so very small that Bear worries they have nothing in common.

I enjoyed the richly textured illustrations by in this sweet story of unexpected friendship.
