There is hope. First of all my faith in Jesus brought me through this deep sadness and depressive state. Just to give you some insight - I had a traumatic labor and delivery and my OGBYN was someone I would never recommend. My babies stayed in the NICU for two weeks and I had some health issues after birth that were NOT the norm for me. But God is faithful! 👏🏾 Second, an herbal formula that the Lord gave me to help balance my hormones and support my body with all the changes and stressors. Thirdly, the support of family and friends. I will be forever grateful. But…It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to want to get back in shape after baby or babies in my case. It’s okay to not like the new changes. I beg you…Feel the feelings, get help, and support. You’re not weak. You are stronger than you think. So many women feel like it’s taboo and feel such deep guilt when it comes to the blues you might feel surrounding new motherhood and are ashamed. I know I was so ashamed to feel the way that I did. On paper EVERYTHING was perfect in my life: two healthy babies, a newly built home, supportive family, the list goes on and on. But just know that there is hope and I have something that can support you through the process. & after all His “joy (truly) comes in the morning.!” There is hope and I’m so blessed to say I feel so much unconditional joy!
