We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a local Veteran, Tharon Sackett. He never met a stranger, and he has the biggest heart of any person you’ll ever meet. The loss is felt deeply throughout the community. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers during this difficult time.

As many of you know, on August 6, 2023 our K-9 officer Kilo was shot in the line of duty. We are so happy to report Kilo has made a full recovery and is back at work doing what he loves! In honor of our hero, we have made CCSO K-9 Challenge Coins. The supply of these coins are limited. They are available for purchase and all proceeds go towards Kilo's medical expenses. Coins will be available for pick up at the Sheriff's Office ( 560 Greison Trail Newnan) within 2 business days from date of purchase. Shipping is also an option. The Scott Carl Memorial Foundation has had an amazing year, and we’re ready to end on a big one!

We are kicking our busy season off early this year! In 2021, we were able to provide toys for the children in the foster care system through our partnership with Hope Revisited, we were able to sponsor a total of 8 first responders to make their holiday season a little brighter, and we were able to host an amazing semi-formal gala event to celebrate all of the efforts of the holiday season.

Now here’s where you come in! We’re beginning our search for our holiday sponsors. This will help with us sponsor first responder families that are nominated by the community, as well as funding to start the following year.

The Fleming Family, a local firefighter family, has received the news no one wants to hear. Lauren was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago, and we are doing everything we can to make this time easier on the family.

On Wednesday, November 2, Frank’s Family Restaurant in Palmetto has graciously decided to donate a portion of sales back to the family. The Scott Carl Memorial Foundation will match that amount.
