Someone once asked me why I gave up on another person too soon. I just smiled and didn't answer. I tried to, but I realized she won't understand anyways, being adorable, likeable, and all that.
What can she know about rejection? What can she know about that horrible feeling of doubting yourself and feeling so little with every "NO" when you haven't even asked a question?
I don't think it's such a selfish thing to do _ walking away and trying to save yourself. I've been in a situation once where I stayed when I should've breaking my own heart into a thousand little pieces. It took me years to put those pieces back together, and up until now I can still feel the scars in my hands from picking up the shards. There are seven billion people walking this earth, and in this life I learned that we'll only meet so few of that.
I don't need people who will make me feel like I'm not enough and doubt myself. I want each and every person in my life to be a motivator, an inspiration, a color. Someone who can help me be a better person, or at least be a source of smile and laughter. I'm no special but if you can be that someone to me, I'd move heaven and earth to keep you...
