Emily and I made a trip out to Covington Tennessee today and saw our friends at Buckaroo Hatters Custom Hats and picked up the new custom 50X natural they made for me just in time for the International Finals Rodeo. We picked up a few more goodies while we were there including her new custom stampede hat. We’re very excited to wear these hats and ride for the buckaroo brand. All I ever wanted to do is be an auctioneer and rodeo. In 2004, I started my career as an announcer. It was the same year this kid was born. We have a lot in common. We both looked at the same man as another dad, and learned the game of rodeo from him. The man is my cousin and his grandfather. David Day. This year, we both had a lot of fun working with each other. This was his first year as an International Professional Rodeo Association bull fighter, and he did outstanding every performance he worked. As we both close out our 2023 season with the association, I have to say I’m honored to see this young man fight bulls at the central region tour finale finals. Proud to call you family Lance Day. Love ya kiddo

I started announcing for my cousin David Day in December of 2004 at little Sunday afternoon jackpot bull riding jackpots. I truly enjoyed doing it and my career goal instantly became to announce with Danny Newland and announce the International Finals Rodeo. March 2023 one dream became a reality by announcing with Danny. When I received the news that I had been selected to announce the 54th International Finals Rodeo, it was truly an honor and a dream come true. Thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way and helped me get to the greatest point of my career. Follow your dreams and goals, your dreams and goals become blessings.

I had the opportunity to work the Forsyth Missouri bull riding tonight. It’s fifteen minutes from bradleyville where I was born and raised. We live a few hours from there now and haven’t had the chance to go see my parents much due to our schedules. It was awesome working the event and seeing so many old friends and family members. I loved seeing the familiar faces and introducing Emily to the people I was around growing up as friends.

Great time at American Made General Store for the five rivers bucking battle presented by Legacy Equipment for the Amped Up Productions - Pro Bull Riding Tour meet and greet! Great show last night and we hope to see everyone come out to the Randolph county fairgrounds for championship Saturday. Showtime at 7:30!

The Amped Up Productions - Pro Bull Riding Tour will be having a meet and greet on Saturday at the American Made General Store in Pocahontas from noon to one on Saturday. Be sure and come meet and get autographs from a few of our bull riders and our bull fighters as well. While at the store, be sure and take a look around at great products! An old friend came up to the Piatt County Trail Blazers rodeo to perform last weekend. Hadn’t seen each other in a while and was fun catching up on old times and hanging out. Even took him to meet the award winning bulls and horses of Wooten Rodeo Co. after the concert. It was great seeing you and hearing you sing pard. A small town Georgia guy now in Nashville doing what he loves. Keep rocking Tanner Fussell Music.

This afternoon I wanted to post this video from last night in Hillsboro Missouri at the Jefferson County Rodeo. There are two guys on the Wooten Rodeo Co. crew that are willing to lay it all on the line every time the bell rings. They are the unsung heroes of our sport. Our bullfighters. It’s easy to talk about being a cowboy, easy to tell how much you love it, and easy to enjoy it when everything goes smoothly. The task at hand is simple, protect the rider. Sometimes, these guys have to take a hit that isn’t easy to take, but they both know their jobs very well. Last night, Randy Miller had to take a shot that nobody would want. Lance Day was in great position, but the bull seen his partner and lined him out. Randy shook loose and got away, then went to the ground. We were all scared. The paramedics asked him if he knew his name. He said “my name is Randy Miller, I’m in Hillsboro Missouri, and we have 5 cowboys left for Lance and I to keep safe.” The duo did just that. If you think you want to fight bulls, watch this video and realize one thing. No matter how bad it gets, the job isn’t over until the last one bucks. You have to be a different level of tough. These two guys are unstoppable as a team and I have to say they have guardian angels on their shoulders. I love watching these guys dance with bovine
All I can say is WOW! Record crowds in Hillsboro Missouri! Outstanding rodeo produced by award winning Wooten rodeo company. Kyle Lamon and Tyler Pettigrew rocked the comedy! Top competitors of the international professional rodeo association were in town for all the big prize money! Definitely a rodeo to put on the calendar to attend next year.
