I meet so many couples that tell me they've been married before, for all kinds of reasons it didn't work and it ended. They never thought they'd find REAL love. And then, after traveling down that broken road, they're given a gift...

Perhaps my most favorite thing about being an officiant is hearing the story of how a couple met. And these two didn't disappoint!

🥾Imagine meeting the love of your life while solo hiking the ... ⛰️

You stop in a restaurant for breakfast and recognize someone you know. They're also hiking the PCT but with a friend. So, the three of you continue your journey together. After about a month, the mutual acquaintance ends their hike. But you and this new friend continue.

Four months and 1500+ miles later, at the end of the trail, a decision was made to continue exploring a life together. ❤️

No matter how simple or elaborate a love story is, the magic is felt when the story is shared.

🎉Today, it has been officially one month since this dynamic duo said yes to their forever together!

For a brief moment in high school, they were an item. But it wasn't their time. So, they took different paths. And those paths led them on different journeys. Until one day, their paths collided back into one another. The right time had finally arrived!

The groom didn't smile much in the presence of others. He portrayed a very disciplined persona, which made sense given his military career. 🪖 But as soon as he saw his bride, all efforts he made to stay straight laced bent.

The deep amount of love these two have for one another was nothing less than obvious. 💕

I hear the couple received some very exciting news recently! 🍼 A very BIG congratulations to them and their growing family!

Now that we're 🏃‍♀️ into 2024... Damn! Can you believe it's already the 5th of January?! Anyway... I wanted to re-introduce myself. So, here it goes...

My name is Teri, and I'm the owner and sole
(at least for now) of Fly the Coop LLC operating out of, yours truly, ❤️. I've been in business since June 2022, and I acquired a small venue for elopements, micro weddings, and private events in October 2022. Formerly referred to as a studio but now referenced as a boutique venue, it was previously ran by for similar events.

I've had the greatest honor of officiating ceremonies for hundreds of couples since starting. And I can't wait to be part of many more! Each couple touches my heart in a different way, serving as a constant reminder that life is so much more magical with in it. It's written all over my face (reference pic #2 of this post). If you've walked down the aisle and saw me standing at the altar, you can attest to this! 🤣

I tell everyone my job is the best because it is! How can you NOT love a job that gives you a front row seat to one of the most memorable moments of a couple's lives together?! Plus, it forces me to do A LOT of reflection in my own relationship. It's a priceless experience!

Age: 39 (40 is only months away) 👵

Status: Remarried; Yes, I've been divorced, and NO, I'm not ashamed. It taught me a lot about myself and what I deserve. 💍

Family: Blended with ONE handsome son and FOUR beautiful step-daughters. 💙🩷🩷🩷🩷

Pets: 7 yo male blue heeler (husband and son are a wee bit jealous of him). 🐾

Hobbies: Games and trips with family, hiking, kayaking, fishing, fireplaces, my big ass blanket... Oh yes, and 🧀!!!

Unpopular Opinion: I think people need to calm down about an officiant being in the "first kiss" photo at a wedding. We're there to perform a sacred ceremony, NOT for a photo op... I do move but it's because I've been trained by the opinions of others, and I'm fearful of being shamed should I fail to do so. This year, I'll just ask the couple what they want. 🤷‍♀️

This is something the two you see in this picture asked each other often when ready to embark on a new level of love. It was adorable! So much so, before we got to their vows, I made sure to ask them this exact question prior to proceeding. 💞

During this private elopement, the couple brought along only their fur babies as witnesses. 🐾 I love it when couples do this!

🤫 I promised them privacy, so this is why you only get to see pictures of the pair from behind. Regardless, .photography did such an amazing job capturing these two! I wish I could share more.

The bride's beautiful bouquet was handcrafted by . It was full, luscious and smelled divine!

Their white wedding cake covered in buttercream and filled with huckleberries got rave reviews all thanks to . 🍰😋

Today I had the honor of Brian and Bobbi's and honoring her father's memory. Robert C. Courtemanche served in Vietnam, was a Decorated Veteran and a Purple Heart Recipient. His presence was certainly felt. 💕 I truly had the best time celebrating with them, their family & friends!!!

I also had the pleasure of doing a for Loradona & Sara. Loradona is a U.S. Army . She is a force to be reckoned with! And I could tell the love she and Sara share is very special. 🥰

Justin & Billie celebrated their intimate union with those closest to them - their children. It was a beautiful ceremony!

We also hosted Alyssa .nail.bestie & Justin's lovely ceremony. They brought in their own officiant and it was such a great experience witnessing their love from the audience!
