Big things happened two nights ago! Picture this: An amazing awards ceremony put on by some of the hardest working people I know. My fantastic partner and my wonderful mentor/friend by my side. Laughs, smiles, and celebrations all around!

I was honored to receive two great awards from my Blanchard and Calhoun family. The first award was the Chairman’s Circle award recognizing the sale of over $3.5million in homes last year alone. The second was an award I secretly told myself I was going to work towards, but had no clue how (or if) I would achieve it… the Rookie of the Year! Although I have almost hit two years with this incredible company and career, last year was my first full year and I was successful in achieving my goal!

I put this shirt on this morning not thinking much about it, but it sure did have a message today…

Yesterday, I started an intense 12 week training to prepare for another half marathon in November. Almost a year ago, I started a whole new life for myself (divorce and career change). Within the first minute of my run, I came upon a copperhead on my path with its head lifted to strike. Immediately, I backed up and thought about not completing my run. However, I quickly realized that this is just an obstacle that I can wait out and successfully move forward. I have goals and no obstacle (snake or otherwise) is going to get in my way:

🔥Run another half marathon (with my brother) faster than my first.
🔥Help more people find their way into a home they love.
🔥Support my children the best I can (emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially).
🔥Build my strength and self-confidence through counseling and self-love.

In the end… I can. I will. End of story.
