As Nurses Week continues, we'd like to spotlight Tiffany Mann! Tiffany, who began her nursing career 22 years ago as an LVN and has since advanced to become an RN MSN, has been working alongside our team for the past 15 years.

Tiffany's journey into nursing was sparked by her fascination with science and solidified when her grandmother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Witnessing the compassion and care provided by nurses during her grandmother's final days left a mark on Tiffany. Their dedication to making a positive impact in people's lives resonated deeply with her, leading her to believe that her career in nursing was not a choice she made, but rather one that was destined for her.

When asked what the most rewarding part of her job is, Tiffany replies, "Some of the most rewarding aspects is the opportunity to make a positive impact in some of the most vulnerable and underserved populations, and the sense of fulfillment that comes from providing compassionate care. And I honestly could not work with a better team of people, feeling supported in your career is crucial in maintaining overall professional growth and job satisfaction."

Tiffany maintains a healthy work-life balance by prioritizing her downtime and cherishing moments away from work. Additionally, she finds relaxation in the art of writing, using it as a means to unwind and decompress.

In honor of Nurses Week, we'd like to spotlight one of our team members, Kristie Mills. Kristie has been a CNA since 1995 and has been an RN for the past 9 years.

Kristie's journey into nursing was sparked at a very young age, when her father and grandmother brought her along to visit family at a nursing home. It was there that she discovered her calling for healthcare. The peaceful environment and the sense of purpose she experienced while helping residents at the nursing home stuck with her. She took pleasure in small gestures, such as guiding wheelchairs to the dining room, knowing she was making a positive impact.
As she grew older, Kristie witnessed someone very special to her ascend the ranks from paramedic to RN, eventually becoming a Director, CEO, and founder in the healthcare field. This individual became her ultimate role model, and she aspired to follow in their footsteps. Though she acknowledges she may not be identical to her hero, Kristie holds them in the highest regard, cherishing the perfect star they've become in her heart.

At New Day Healthcare, one of the most rewarding aspects for Kristie is the opportunity to facilitate care and services that enable people to remain at home with their families and loved ones. She states, "I have always enjoyed being at the bedside, now that I am more behind the scenes, I find I get a little more emotionally involved and press harder trying to make sure that we provide absolutely all we can for them."

Kristie finds her work to be deeply intertwined with her sense of purpose and passion, making it a form of self-care in itself. Balancing work and family, she prioritizes spending quality time with loved ones and eventually hopes to travel. Kristie is continuously grateful for God's blessings, and she hopes for ongoing opportunities for growth and learning as doors continue to open in her life.
