Hold Fast Woodworking
Veteran owned small business featuring custom woodworking and mixed media art.
Custom LED corn hole boards🤯
Nautical flag signage using epoxy resin... I keep coming back to these signs, trying my best to create something that stands alone as unique physical art. Three years and many iterations with Epic fails using enamel paints, unrealistic expectations of spray paint and a reoccurring problem with reading and following instructions while using my Axiom Precision CNC... I was very proud to send this product out to the Scurti family in Oregon. A small group of repeat customers have placed their trust in me and believe in what I am trying to do as a one-man custom shop. So, I want to take this opportunity to thank Bree Scurti for her continued support of Hold Fast Woodworking!
This sign was gifted to a Vietnam veteran who has been selflessly helping the Scurti family with the day to days and even building them a vegetable garden. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the 4th than to help honor a fellow military veteran.
loved working with this awesome logo🍻
Blue line plaque made from red oak with blue and black deep pour epoxy lines. This custom project was Commissioned by the Big Stone Gap Police Department in Wise County, VA. In recognition of Michael Chandler, who was killed in the line of duty last November. It was a true honor designing this badge, memorializing his service and sacrifice to community and country.
Proudly presenting my mother’s Aries Rising business logo, crafted using solid Mahogany with a light torch and poly finish! I made this sign In recognition of her __th birthday and overall awesomeness, using a scanned image of her business card. A painter, musician and singer, she is a constant source of inspiration and a true "MAKER"!

Perhaps a bit vague… this is a teaser for a project I have been wanting to do for some time now. If you have a keen eye you may already know what it/they will be😁🎁
Hold Fast rep in Key West! Thanks fam🙌
Check out this 3D white shark with epoxy inlays to be presented as a wedding gift. Being a custom order, I started out by creating the vector art in Vectric Aspire CAD design. In the shop I chose poplar hardwood, epoxy with Caribbean blue and pearl white mica pigments with gel stains mixed to gray for shark skin. Since I hand drew the vectors in Aspire, it took some extra time in CAD, well worth it in the end I think... Please check out the rest of my content and contact me with questions or to discuss a custom project of your own. www.holdfast-woodworking.com Thanks!
Dry erase boards using epoxy!!! These custom boards were inspired by my daughter's creative use of pens and markers indiscriminately, parents know what I'm talking about here😅 We use them for fun, for practice with math and spelling and much more. These things pay for themselves by saving in paper use alone. Also, I hope they keep them into adulthood with many fond memories. Please head over to my website, www.holdfast-woodworking.com and check out more content. Don't forget to like, share and follow to see future projects in the shop. Thanks!

The making of my business sign! Beginning as a digital design in Vetric, the Axiom CNC milling, epoxy resin and its home in front of my shop. A point of interest is that some of the epoxy fill is over half an inch deep and table top epoxy worked just as well as a deep pour. About a year later and it looks as beautiful as the day I hung it.
Come and check out these items and more at today from 1-5. Cheers🍺
Black Walnut live edge with Caribbean and pearl white mica pigment stirred in to liquid crystal epoxy. The serving tray visited the CNC for a 3/4” relief on bottom with handholds.
Epoxy set off this live edge red wood!
A nice afternoon project. Nautical themed napkin holder with 3D CNC carve. I used a 12 degree miter on the base and ran a couple dowels through cheeks and base. Tight fit, probably didn't need glue but you know how fun glue ups are so I did it anyways. Cheers!
The customer for this commission had a specific vision including key elements. I created these 3D models, taking advantage Vetric Aspires sculpting and shaping features.
Imaged is a piece of live edge English Walnut. Featuring three individual models with dozens of components, layered into a single toolpath. There is emerald epoxy resin running throughout, adding to the "character" of the live edge, and the closeup of a knot showcases that perfectly.
