Are you a dog person? Are your dogs - like ours - slowly coming u-n-h-i-n-g-e-d waiting for a chance to get out and run?

Here are a few of the dog parks in our area that may be a fun way for Fido to get his happy on and where maybe both you and your dog can make some new friends.

* Newhall Community Dog Park, Concord (the "Paw Patch") Just off Ayers Road at Turtle Creek. Grassy. Separate areas for large and small doggos, benches for their pet people to sit while their dogs run. Closed Wednesdays.

* Clayton Dog Park, Clayton - Can be tricky to find, turn onto Regency from Marsh Creek. Street parking, walk down the path. Tanbark, some dog agility training equipment. Not esp well known or populated.

* Heather Farms Dog Park, Walnut Creek - In the back area of Heather Farms Park, drive like you're going to the horses area or Seven Hills School and it'll be on your right hand side. Tanbark. Often well attended, picnic tables, lots of friendly dogs and people.

* Martinez Dog Park, Martinez - Just off Marina Vista Avenue near the water, behind the Martinez Yacht Club. Tanbark, picnic tables. Separate large and small dog areas.

* Hap Magee Ranch Park Canine Corral, Danville - Not far off the freeway, has water features, benches, grass. Currently closed until March 1st.

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES: Not all of these dog parks are open during the rainy season - best to check the individual parks' websites to make sure before leaving. Also, please make sure your dog is healthy, fully-vaccinated, and able to be social with other dogs prior to going to the park. Most of these parks are self-regulated, and the park is not the place to find out if your dog bites. 🙂

These are an 11 by 14 artwork and she charges per portrait. If you want more than one pet in the portrait she will charge per pet as there is a lot of time in detail involved.

These make a great gift for someone or yourself, as well as someone who has maybe lost a pet. She just needs a clear photo of your baby and everything is done online. She then ships your portrait directly to you. Please comment for details or message me. 🐾❤️
