As I woke up this morning, I can’t help but share the outpouring of texts and calls I’ve received from last nights emotional Grand Champion Steer Drive.
I am so blessed and grateful for the National Western Staff, namely Jennifer Boka, Sarah Vickland-Tabor and Alyssa Deporter for allowing me the opportunity to be in that moment last night.
Nearly 10 years ago we all lost Nick Reimann and our other Three dear souls in that tragic accident, and ever since that day I’ve asked myself WHY?

Last night I felt a sense of peace that I haven’t felt since that terrible day. The love and compassion I felt in the Historic National Western Stadium Arena last night was overwhelming.

I know somewhere my friend, Nick Reimann was smiling that infectious smile and couldn’t have been more proud of his amazing son Croix and beautiful daughter Cannon and the absolutely wonderful young people they have become.

It will be a night and a moment in time that I will never forget and hold dear in my heart FOREVER.♥️💔🥲

At Sandeen Genetics we have always admired the fact that Griswold Cattle has remained one of the few operations to stay true to producing good, solid, functional seedstock.
For us it seemed the obvious choice to go straight to the “BRAND” with the right kind of cow base when we decided to inject some Broker influence into our cowherd. Our top pick at the 2018 “CLASSIC” Sale for what we were after was lot 174, a $4100 Broker/Emblazon bred to Loaded Up.
She had an extremely nice black baldy bull calf, raised him on her own on our fescue pastures with no creep and no supplements and weaned him at 760 #.... that calf was a complete outlier in terms of combining truly, real world performance, structural correctness and eye appeal.
He just sold sale this past weekend at our Annual Production Sale, going to the “High Profile” syndicate for $100,000 or 3/4 interest.
An Extremely good return on investment that demonstrates the value that can be found through out Griswold program!
