This customer was smart! They called and asked for an estimate to replace their air conditioner BEFORE summer starts! Of course we got the job, we offer the best warranty and equipment around. The average life span of air conditioning unit is around 15 years and at that age, you can throw their efficiency out the window. We got our feet wet in a new construction home this week. We were able to talk to our customer into going with mini splits. These are the future of HVAC as they are the most efficient way to cool and heat your home. You can also control the temperature in each room individually, so you’re not conditioning areas you don’t use. If you plan on putting an addition on your home, this is the way to go! Give us a call

A couple of recent furnace changeouts we’ve done! As the age of the furnace increases, the over health, safety, and efficiency decreases. Give us a call for an inspection to make sure your furnace is running as efficient as it can, and to make sure no toxic fumes are leaking throughout your home. We are still giving out free ionizers with every furnace installation, so give us a call!

After we drained all the water, we couldn’t help but wonder why this water heater was still so heavy, so we cut it open and found out it was about 30% full of calcium and other minerals. We’ll bet this old water heater was less than 50% efficient as the calcium was taking more heat than the water. Also, look at that nasty water! 🤢 If you’re tank is this bad, you’ll consume that water every time your water heater kicks on. We got this client all fixed up with a new tank. It's not quite that time of the year, but we're close. We are expected to have yet another very cold winter. Lately, we've had multiple calls for inspections and installing new furnaces. Give us a call to have a look at your furnace before it's too late! The last thing we want is to go 2-3 days without heat. Had a ”No Cool” service call yesterday. The company before me “blew” out a used filter and tried to reuse it. They also missed a loud leak in the AC. Knowing who this company is, they’re going to charge this person 150-200% higher than us for an issue that was never fixed. Do yourself a favor and give us a call next time for honest and high quality service!

This is a prime example of why you should flush your water heater annually. Not only will it save you money on your utility bills, but it’s extremely easy, and it can increase the life of your water heater by up to 10 years. Inside the water heater is where the broken element was, and as you can see, it is completely full of calcium and other minerals. If you’ve never had it done, call for a flush asap before it’s too late!

How efficient do you think the evaporator coil was? If you have pets, have never had a maintenance, or you love wasting your money, I can guarantee your evaporator looks like this. Only a 16th of an inch of dirt/debris on your coil reduces your effiency by 20%, causing everything to work harder drawing more electricity. Cooling season is approaching, call for a maintenance!

I had a “no heat” service call the other day and the homeowner said she wanted a second opinion. She said she had just received a quote that morning from a local HVAC company in town for a new furnace because apparently the board was bad on it. So, I took a look at the furnace (the board wasn’t bad) and the inducer motor was burnt out. I was curious why it was broken, so I took a look at the flue piping and I noticed well over half of it was being choked by duct tape! The reason these throw air outside is to get rid of non-combustible gas. AKA carbon monoxide. Luckily, the family never noticed any symptoms and this was fixed immediately. Not to mention, I saved the homeowner over $4,500! Licenses should be removed for careless acts like this! Never be afraid of a second opinion, it could save your life.

Some quick facts every home owner should be aware of:

*Less than a 16th of an inch (about the same thickness as a business card) on your coil and/or blower can reduce your efficiency over 20%

*Dynamic Air Cleaners remove up to 97% of microscopic impurities where as an ordinary filter is only used to keep larger debris and gunk out of your system just to prolong its life.

*Roughly half of your utility bill is due to your HVAC system in NORMAL OPERATION. Can you imagine how much cheaper it would be with a good cleaning or a routine preventative maintenance?

*Through the process of ionization, impurities and 99% of viruses are removed from your home. In some cases, it has been shown that ionizers can remove COVID-19.

Finished a furnace changeout! This was a 30 year old furnace that had multiple issues, and with it being that old, the heat exchanger could crack next week, making it no longer operable. If you have an older furnace and want to upgrade, give us a call.

Just installed an Aprilaire 500m humidifier, and the customer said it did them wonders! Missouri air this time of year is extremely dry, so if you think it might help you, call today!
