We are back on the eastern shore again!

At next Saturday's Plein Air Adkins event, 42 artists will paint original pieces inspired by the beauty of autumn at Adkins. The finished paintings will be exhibited and available for sale. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase art the day it was created.

This event is free for observers! The public is invited to explore the Arboretum's woodland, meadows, and wetland while watching the artists paint, then enjoy the exhibit and sale with live music by Fine Times.

Beltway Bistro and Blue Monkey Street Tacos food trucks and Ten Eyck Brewing Company will have food and drink for sale beginning at 11am.

Excitement is building for this year's Plein Air Adkins, which takes place on November 4 from 10am-2pm.

Plein Air Adkins is a one-day plein air paint-out, exhibit, and sale where artists paint at the Arboretum in the morning and then exhibit and sell their work in the afternoon.

Hey Facebook, Foodies!! Can you believe it’s the middle of July?!? Whew 😥, we’re over the hump and the bistro is in full swing this summer. Our team is truly grateful because in 2021, around Memorial Day our truck was stolen. Naturally, back then we had high hopes of hitting the ground running but that summer did not turn out that way. Thankfully, two 2 years later our outlook is very different 🥳📣! We are so happy to be serving lunch and dinner to the residents of Montgomery and Howard Co. and anticipate growth and expanding business in 2023.
Our head chef👨🏾‍🍳 was recently asked to reflect on the progress since opening the Food Truck, and he said, “ I’m really proud of getting the truck back and business in order so quickly. It was a lot of hard work but we’ve been able to establish solid relationships with local business that need our mobile services and love great comfort food! “

What’s next at the Bistro 🍽️ ?

Chef James hopes to make his food more accessible by introducing online ordering this summer.
