You made quite the entrance a month early sharing your birth story with your cousin…what a priceless memory we will all cherish!

21 years .heinl my sweet girl you’re 21.
These past few years I have seen you grieve, grow, stretch your heart so big as you continue to put it back together.
I have seen you full of joy and disappointment.
I have witnessed your strength at your weekest….

I remember the day you took your first breath and that moment that took your breath away.
I have seen you embrace life with passion and fight so hard to choose it.
I have seen you dance in the rain and praise Him in your storms.
I have seen you lose yourself and find yourself again.

You have experience a lot of hard in your 21 years and I can tell you the masterpiece God is creating IN you is breath-taking.

Every day I love you more than yesterday.
In the middle of my busy, you will sneak into my heart and I think of how precious you are!
I thank God for knitting you together and choosing me to be your mom.
I know your daddy is guiding you, watching out for you and looking down in awe at the amazing women you have become!

You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength and every day you are a reflection of His love and a living testimony of His grace!

Happy Birthday sweetheart! I can’t wait to celebrate you, squeeze you, laugh with you and rejoice in the miracle God created in YOU!!

Put my house on the market a week ago and finally had a moment to stop and breathe…and process how hard things have been…God is good and He is growing me…For the first I am feeling a little excited for what is ahead❤️

IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK

They would tell of the dreams they were built on of a family who loved so deeply…
that their exposed beams were covered with words of God’s perfect love, hope and healing.

They would share that their freshly painted walls were special…
Because from day one they became a canvas of God’s perfect grace.

They would tell stories of suffering, pain and deep loss but stand in awe of the BIG love that filled this space.

They would search for the words to describe the day heaven came to visit and became apart of this home…

When a couple dreaming of growing old were no longer,
A now widow and children embarked on a journey to discover how, as a family, they now fit together.

These walls would so softly whisper how she sometimes felt so alone.

They would speak of the tears shed and the huge amounts of grief that became apart of each day, but with amazement would also share about the joy and celebrations that were equally present along the way.

Although the world shut down this place was different…because Fear was left outside and Faith was ever present.

So much chaos and laughter and new memories made…and then the stories they heard of precious old ones…ones of a man so cherished, his legacy would never let them fade.

Four years of a lifetime shared in these walls…a story she thought would never be told.

A journey of a thousand miles of growth, change, and constant God-moments…and as she leaves these walls, one that her heart will forever hold.

This is one of my favorite weeks of the year with Mary & Martha because it’s all about encouraging others EXTRA…
especially through the hard.

You all know God has placed a huge calling on my heart to encourage, love and bring a little hope to those grieving.

This bear is so sweet and soft and I saved this one from last year because…honestly…it just makes me smile.

Then, when added with one of my favorite prayer books for grieving hearts…Now you have a special gift for her precious soul.

This bear goes away in a few days and I want to collect as many as I can to bless it forward to bring a grieving mama a hug for her heart.

All I can say is WOW!

Drove to California with one bestie .poledna to go help another launch her Ministry Marketplace.

Jimmy & I loved celebrating life together with our birthdays 6️⃣ days apart😉
On July 20, 2020 we buried Jimmy’s ashes, we let balloons 🎈go as the sun ⛅️ pierced through the clouds and sang 🎵Happy Birthday🎵
Seems like a lifetime ago🙄
Last Friday I turned 5️⃣3️⃣🥳
Who knew I would still be discovering 🧐who I am & so far away from knowing where I am supposed to be.😏
Not much has stayed the same 😔since Jimmy went home to heaven. Learning to live life & continuing to love BIG with my heart open & broken💔 is not easy🙃 but the only way I know how & WORTH EVERY PART!😊
Each day this joyful soul of mine trusts where ever God🙌🏻 is leading me & although some days are heavy🙄I go to sleep filled with so much gratitude.🙏🏻
You have to exercise your hearts ❤️💪🏻muscles, not just to learn to hold joy & sadness but to be present to them both.🥵
Living life as a widow, is saying hello & goodbye at the same time😮‍💨

I need your help in finding a forever home for Milo!

My daughter adopted him at eight weeks old and although she loves him so much, has realized they are not the right fit for each other.
(I am also very allergic 🫣)

Milo is a Border Collie mix and was born on January 23rd, 2022. He is 60lbs and full of life. He loves to go on hikes, play fetch, play tug-o-war and run.

He is crate-trained, potty trained, up to date on vaccines, and neutered.

He has had training and super smart but with our crazy lifestyle and my daughter’s health challenges, the only consistency he has had is love.

He needs a new mom or dad who has an active lifestyle, loves and knows big dogs, can help him with his training and of course will love him as big as we have!

His best friend is Brutus our 11lb Havanese who is the alpha dog😂 and I think if properly introduced he would do good with another dog. But ideally, being in a home with no other dogs and little ones would be best until trained.

Please help…we are in over our head and want to give Milo his best life which he so deserves🥰

Friday night I got to celebrate this amazing young man Brayden Lang. Leah has been one of my besties since we were 14... we were each other’s maid of honor, have been by each others side through the the worst moments and the most joyful ones.

The older I get and the more life I live, the more I appreciate and cherish moments like these...

I can’t believe we are going to be in this beautiful place in just a few hrs. God is so good and I am so grateful to be apart of the Mary & Martha sisterhood. Spreading light and encouragement is the sweetest blessing and earning this trip is just the sprinkles on top! 32 years ago today Jimmy and I became one heartbeat…❤️

We put on our fanciest clothes with so much love spilling over into each other. We walked into a life that was custom made just for us filled with so much of God’s Grace.

We👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️stood with and in front of our friends and family with God as our connector. ❤️

To think every soul 🥹was there to love us into our life together.

Some were friends of our parents who prayed 🙏🏻so deeply for us that having them present spoke to generations of beauty and unconditional love. 🥰

Some who already lived a lifetime 👴👵and a precious few who were so fresh 👶from heaven…how beautiful and timeless the legacy of love ❤️truly is.

Every year since Jimmy became my Angel, this day has been a balance of hard and healing.

It is the only day that is just ours.

Today I found myself looking through the memories of posts through out the years and I feel such a sense of gratitude. 🥰

The amazing life we built with our children who will forever be a reflection of our love and who each carry the best of him! Our grand daughter who brought a piece of him from heaven.

If I close my eyes really tight I can almost imagine how perfectly imperfect the beginning of our love story was.

I miss you so much more today than I did yesterday and my love for you still continues to grows stronger. I am feeling very grateful we were blessed with such a beautiful soul-story.

Our fall was filled with so much unexpected crazy and we never got to officially celebrate Mom Heinl and Sarah’s bday. Mom Heinl has always been a tea party gal… From the time my girls were super little they have been having tea in many different places across the valley as well as in their Nanas kitchen. I had every intention of hosting one but The Quirky Royal Tea Room in Mesa just opened up on February 1, and they just happen to have room for us to go with little notice. 😍What a special gift they gave us of a beautiful space, delicious food, friendly staff and even a few authentic comedic stories from the man from Yorkshire who started it all. I can’t wait to bring my sisters, nieces and granddaughter here one day…to make more memories with family and friends! It was also such a gift to myself to stop and enjoy the moment. ☕️ .heinl

I wrote this poem on this day two years ago…

These memories are still so vivid in my heart💔.

I will always be grateful for our dear friend Jeff who prayed with us as we were trying to walk away from Jimmy’s casket…he brought comfort and a touch of humor which helped us all catch our breath…who knew he would be joining Jim in heaven that very next year…

We can never guess how our heart remembers and as heart wrenching as all these moments are, it is a constant reminder…

of how incredibly blessed we are to have such an amazing circle of love surrounding us every day!

I know one day we will look back and only smile because of how fiercely we were loved❤️

The Last Time We Saw You

The door was so heavy to the chapel, my heart not knowing what to expect...
Would my legs be able to move and walk towards you, would I be able to catch my breath?
My mind was in a bit of a fog and all I could think of was, “were our kids ok?”
As we found ourself in front of your casket gazing on your beautiful face.
You looked so at peace in your Ohio state gear dressed from head to toe,
I knew it was just your earthly shell, but knowing I couldn’t jump in and hold you was harder than you could know.
One by one came visitors from every part of your life,
To share stories and memories of how you blessed them, But I felt the luckiest to stand as your wife.
Friends came to show support and oh how they cradled my heart,
Their hugs and unconditional love made me braver knowing we had to be apart.
We watch pictures of so many moments of the joy you brought to so many,
But the ache in our hearts were so deep, already missing you from future memories.
Our friends and families were gathered, in that circle of love with a prayer to carry us through...as the night came to end we just couldn’t bear the thought of saying goodbye to you.
The six of us stood at your casket with tears flooding our eyes,
As we struggled to let go we shared the legacy of love you left behind.
The door was so heavy to open as we had to walk away,
Closing the door to the chapel was the hardest thing I did that day💔
