Do you know anyone with a small apartment or mother-in-law suite for rent in the Brandon / Valrico area?
I was contacted by a married couple with an 18 month old baby. They are both restaurant workers who were planning on purchasing. Obviously, that is off the table. They have enough saved to pre-pay for a year of rent at $700 a month. They are not looking for a handout. In fact, they seem to be responsible and self-sufficient.
They are not looking for anything extravagant. It could even possibly be an extra room in a home. It must be safe and clean. I am not asking for any compensation. But I also anticipate hearing a lot more stories like this.
It is often said the average family is $600 away from being homeless. Guess what? A lot of those people we all rely on are more than $600 behind already!
If you know someone, please FB message me and I will reach out and start to make a list for the future. Please share on your social sites and let's pull together to help those who through no fault of their own, are finding themselves in a tight spot, likely for the next 6 months at least!
