From the Road Aheads inception we had always planned to produce a Jersey in honour of the many affected in the aftermath of an RTC and to raise awareness of the support we provide. For some reason we could never get the design just right, we always felt something was missing.
Dylan Vallely from the Newtownhamilton area tragically lost his life in an RTC November 14, 2023. At only 16yrs old, it was very clear how exceptionally talented this young man was. As some of you may know it was Dylan’s 1st cousin Chloe who retreived the designed jerseys produced by Dylan on his school computer.

Dylans family selflessly shared those talents with us all, when they brought the design to Playerfit Newry to be created, Dylan’s designs are now being used in local football and camogie clubs.

We were honoured when Dylan’s family kindly allowed our logo to feature on his jerseys, with a donation fee on each purchase donated to ourselves. It was a fantastic tribute to an amazing young man.

It then became very obvious to us that we had found what was missing from our jerseys, we recently expressed the meaning behind the fox and the raccoon and felt things were coming together, so we approached Dylans family to see if we could use one of his designs and we are so honoured that they have agreed, this jersey is so special with a lot of essence behind it.
We hope many will wear this Jersey with pride, to remember all our loved ones who have lost their lives on our roads and honour all those affected.

Dylans designs will be a lasting legacy in honour of a uniquely talented young man.

Caolan will be having scans in the coming days and therefore, the Rosary will be recited tonight (Thursday 6th June) at 7pm in St Patrick's Church, Crossmaglen to pray for Caolan's strength and continued healing.

Men's Rosary Crusade Crossmaglen 🙏

Tomorrow Saturday 1st June the Men's Rosary Crusade will travel to Crossmaglen, men, women and children will gather from all parts of Ireland to this wonderful historic town in the heart of South Armagh 💕💕💕

We will be offering up the 5th decade of the Rosary for a very special young man who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident last November, Dylan was a past pupil of St Joseph's high school in Crossmaglen and had the opportunity of travelling with his school to Knock shrine not long before his tragic passing, Dylan was an amazing footballer and had surely got a big future in the game, members of the Newtownhamilton football team will be present tomorrow along with a flag bearer holding the flag of St.Michael the Archangel, Dylans club is also called St.Michaels and we find this very fitting.

On behalf of the Men's Rosary Crusade Ireland we would like to offer our condolences to Shane, Catherine, Sophia and Amelia and to assure you and the extended family members that you will be in our prayers 🙏 many Grace's shall be flowing in the Square in Crossmaglen 🙏

The Irish Men's Rosary Crusade will be travelling from all around Ireland this Saturday to the great town of Crossmaglen 💞 we will be offering up a decade of the Rosary to a fantastic young man his family and friends 🙏Caolon Finnegan is going through a really tough time and needs our Prayers, we are looking forward to sharing this decade with Caolon and the entire South Armagh community 💕💕💕

As a lot of you know Caolan is into his third week in the private oncology clinic in Germany , he is exhausted due to the intense nature of his treatment but is in good spirits and looking forward to getting home next week.The oncology team are pleased with his progress and have advised that a further 3 visits to the clinic would be their recommendation .

The treatments Caolan has received on this initial visit will cost in the region of £124k , this is more than the estimated amount of £75k which was quoted, as the medical team required additional tests and additional medication to ensure Caolan was receiving the correct treatment. Subsequent visits to Germany will cost in the region of £75k per visit.

As you can see the amount of money we have raised through your generous donations and fundraising activities will not be enough to cover the costs of any further treatments. We therefore intend to intensify our efforts to raise the additional funds. We intend to magnify our social media presence and organise a few large fundraisers. If you are in a position to donate additional funds or organise a fundraiser it would be greatly appreciated , contact me directly with any ideas you may have , let as many people as you can know about the appeal.

As you are all aware time is not our friend in this situation and the need for funds is urgent and we need to generate momentum to achieve our goal which is a positive outcome for Caolan.

The community has shown time and time again that we can overcome the odds to achieve the unthinkable , it’s a huge task but we can and we will be successful in this endeavour .

All roads lead to Crossmaglen this Saturday for the men's Rosary Crusade please arrive by 12.45pm we are expecting a big crowd 🙏
