Vickroy: When her biracial 5-year-old tried to wash the ‘black’ off her skin, mom knew more than words were needed 13/11/2021

I am humbled to have read an amazing article about Beautifully Biracial: A Young Girl's Journey to Love Herself. Donna Vickroy has captured the authenticity of Charleigh's journey. It is hard to believe that I wrote this book awhile ago, but it is surreal to see it in print!

For all of the Charleigh's of the world, I hope this book brings some comfort into your lives!

On November, 21, 2018, I began writing a story that hit very close to home to our family. I was not certain where my writing would take me, or if it would even begin to make a difference in Charleigh's life, but I decided to write it anyways. Fast forward to present day, Beautifully Biracial: A Young Adoptee's Journey to Love Herself has been officially released!
I hope this book brings comfort to any child feeling the way that our daughter has felt throughout her life. There is no greater disappointment than watching your child lack the confidence that she should have because of another person's hurtful words. Through Beautifully Biracial, it is my hope that this story will inspire hope and kindness towards others!
For anyone who purchases the book on Amazon, please share your review and please feel free to share my post as well!!
