But youth won’t be our crutch

The girls and boys play tomorrow, Thursday” 3:45 & 5:00. Both teams are playing for Loftis’ first every chance at the state tournament if they win tomorrow!

Cougars went on the road to Signal Mountain

GJV lost a tough game in their opener to be 0-1
BJV won and are now 5-0
GV pulled away in the second half to get the win
They are 6-1 overall, 6-0 in district
BV went on a 19-4 run to end the game to win 35-29. They are 6-1 overall, 6-0 in district

Boys jv won to go to 4-0
Girls Varsity won 26-2 they are 5-1, 5-0 in district play
Boys Varsity won 34-24 they are 5-1, 5-0 in league play

Lady Cougars defeated Howard Connect 55-8 and the Cougars won 44-13 on Tuesday night
Both teams are 2-0 in league play.
Cougars head to East Lake Academy tonight for our first road test.

We had a clean sweep against Brown tonight to start league play

Finished off the summer with a team trip to Top golf! I’m so proud of the character, heart, determination, and respect these young men show all the time. I’m proud to be there coach! Their futures are bright!

These boys played 16 games in a week. They only lost to two really good teams. They will run through a wall for me and keep doing it when they are beyond exhausted. The love I have for them is more than I can explain.

The boys had an amazing season! With only one varsity contributor returning this year we accomplished some great times! For only the 4th in school history we survived to the last day out of 20 teams
The flu ravished our team on the first night of the tournament we played our hearts out the first two nights and survived but ultimately the flu won and it was to much to overcome losing a hard fought game in the semi finals
But we bounced back today and took it to Tyner from the opening tip and finished 3rd!
I will always have a special place in my heart for this group of boys. They will go on to do great things! I love every one of them!

Even though the Flu is circulating our team and the underdog was fighting for the lives we managed to win a very physical slugfest of a game tonight over Hixson to advance to play Brown tomorrow at 6:00 on the road.
