AHG will celebrate National Day of Service (NDS) on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

This day is set aside for Troops across the country to join together in living out the AHG Oath in their communities. This date allows Troops to simultaneously celebrate AHG’s birthday and serve their communities. Even though AHG celebrates NDS each year in September, Troops are encouraged to celebrate through community service projects throughout the year.

AHG introduces each year’s community engagement NDS resources as a “Service Spotlight” that relates to the annual Program Year Theme. This year’s Service Spotlight—Respect Life—was chosen in support of AHG’s 2023-2024 Program Year Theme, WOVEN, to live out the life-affirming truth taught in Scripture:

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”

Psalm 139:13, ESV

Announcing the 2023-2024 Program Year Theme!

Each girl is a colorful masterpiece WOVEN together by the Skillful Maker. God knitted together every part of her, creating intersections of strength and beauty like a tapestry's threads that are WOVEN, broken, exchanged, and WOVEN again. With His hand at work in her life, He continues to add color to her canvas, weaving her heart close to His and enabling her to change the fabric of the world around her for all eternity!

We hope you’ll consider our program for your girl(s) this coming year! You can reach out to us at [email protected] or send a message using the message button on our page.

On the 20th anniversary of such a tragic event, we're remembering all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and praying for all whose lives were forever changed by the tragedy of that day. The Bible calls us to, "rejoice with those who rejoice; [and] mourn with those who mourn” (Romans 12:15, NIV), so today, let's commit to mourning with those who are still grieving.

The American Heritage Girls Badge Program provides opportunities for girls to interact across age groups, as older girls teach younger girls. Each badge can be earned at three different levels (Tenderheart, Explorer, and Pioneer/Patriot) and is divided into six Frontiers:

Our Heritage, Personal Well-Being, Family Living, The Arts, Science and Technology, and Outdoor Skills.

Each Frontier is associated with specific components to ensure girls are becoming women of integrity. Check out this chart to see how the frontiers assist girls in building Christ-centered values.
