Our company is looking for a Finish Carpenter to join our team and work in the Taylor and Dixie areas. We specialize in remodeling, so we need someone who loves to demolish, rebuild and wow our clients.

Experience preferred; character and willingness to learn an absolute MUST.
The ideal candidate will have his or her own transportation and a willingness to travel. Pay commensurate with experience. We are a growing company with opportunities for advancement!

Responsibilities:
Read architectural drawings, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements;
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed; Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements; Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items; Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible; Assemble and install cabinets, shelves and other items; Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance; Build scaffolding and other construction structures.

Skills
Proven experience as carpenter preferred
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials; Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction; Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.); Ability to read technical documents and drawings; Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times; Good knowledge of English; Good understanding of basic math; Good physical condition and endurance.

The interior details have started at the Suwannee River house, and we couldn’t be more excited to be at this phase of the build.

EALM Construction, Inc. installed a soft-toned and sunny paneling to the ceiling. This gives welcomed contrast to the rustic, warm wood floors and green-gray walls.

We’ve also created a show-stopping-moment in the bathroom with a Moroccan-esque tile.

has started improvements to the kitchen of a family home in Perry, Florida.

In its original design, the home lacked ample cabinet space and head room for proper meal preparation.

We gutted the kitchen completely, brought in cabinets with more storage and placed them flush with the ceiling. We topped them off with a smooth, black granite slab.

EALM Construction, Inc. continues to remodel this quaint home on a corner lot in Perry, Florida.

Square footage was added to create a much-needed Laundry Room/Mud Room entrance. The perfect place to drop your bags and take off your shoes.

The space was also split to include a Master Bathroom, which now makes this home more comfortable for any growing family.

Our focus started on the exterior, as the home was in desperate need of additional square footage to allow for a Laundry Room and Master Bathroom.

While EALM Construction, Inc. finishes up a new 1,400 sq ft home on the Suwanee River, we made sure access to the water was safe and beautiful.

During a storm, a tree damaged the dock and landing. We were able to repair it; making it safe and up to code - all while keeping the color and craftsmanship the homeowner wanted to retain.

Now, that's a great river view!

We improved a mobile home back deck, adding a 12x12 aluminum screened enclosure. We also expanded overhead coverage; offering a 12x24 sun-free lounging area.

EALM Construction, Inc. is pleased with how this downtown bungalow came together – specifically the kitchen.

We were able to retain the footprint of this room, which is a wonderful cost-saver for the client as the rest needed to be gutted.

Due to Father Time, the kitchen’s internal elements, such as electrical, plumbing, and more, had to be completely replaced. We also installed the entries with new energy efficient doors.

In addition to the functional improvements, the kitchen had many quality aesthetic updates, including ...

Flooring:
We love the historic charm of original hardwood floors. Unfortunately, we were not able to salvage what was existing. We replaced them with a durable, engineered product that will stand the test of time and offers a beautiful finish that complements the room.

Bar:
To add a touch of color and create a focal point in the room, the client selected a charming blue to accent the creamy ivory cabinets.

Cabinets/Hardware/Countertops:
Throughout the kitchen, the cabinets were replaced with updated, custom storage options. Modern, chrome hardware was selected to offer an updated feel to the room and coordinate with the new stainless-steel appliances. The client decided to go with a hardy, cost-efficient material for the countertops that would last another fifty-plus years.

Ceiling:
Over the years, the ceiling gave way to trends and wear-n-tear. We knew we had to replace the overhead throughout the house, but were pleasantly surprised when we discovered original Beadboard in the dining room. We were able to salvage and repair this charming element for the home.

EALM Construction, Inc. just finished the final step in an exterior refresh for this 1970's home at Dekle Beach. After repairing the wood posts that were severely damaged by WDO's (see earlier FB posts), the client then asked us to update the detail and color of the home.

Working with the client, we were able to install all new Board and Baton cement fiber siding and scalloped gables as a featured exterior moment. We finished it off with a fun, brilliant two-tone blue color scheme reminiscent of our Gulf waters.
