Is it their seven week anniversary yet? I somehow missed the photographer's share in July and am squealing with delight to see them here on the book of face today!

Funny story- I didn't take the gondola but rather the chairlift, in the hail storm that brought us to this peak. Thankfully this distance capture doesn't show my drowned rat look ;) I do love this comment from their Aunt Raychel about how I persevered:

"So anyway, Audrey is a total bada$$!!! Even though she was totally drenched and freezing (she was literally wringing the water out of her dress as we were talking) she remained calm and had a positive attitude throughout the whole ceremony. She was VERY professional. I was also amazed at how prepared she was before the ceremony, double checking to see if we had the marriage license, a pen to sign the license, the rings, etc. She told me that she wears 3 rings on her finger just in case she needs them! She definitely had our backs! My nephews had an amazing ceremony thanks to Audrey. I would definitely recommend her to anyone getting married in Montana ❤️"

It was cold, rainy and windy at the top of Whitefish Mountain Resort, but these two braved the storm (literally) and tied the knot!

So happy for these joyful neighbors- I ran into them at the local concert last night, congratulated them on their two month anniversary and scored the gallery of their photos they didn’t realize they hadn’t shared yet.

Timoteo and Joe had their secret surprise elopement in Montana shifted by some family members learning of the event - almost changing all the plans! I was so excited when they reached back out, my morning was still available, and our spot at the lake served up sunshine and waves to accompany their sweet vows. They shared favorite song lyrics, their history together and so many dreams of future travel. I was so thrilled to be their witness and so glad they were thrilled to have me as a part!

I love when my couples share their ceremony experience- it's a great way to spread the joy of choosing your OWN adventure in a wedding and letting others know that departing from the mainstream can be the perfect choice.

"Highly recommend working with Audrey - she is great, thoughtful, and supportive. I felt prepared and got to enjoy my wedding day since working with Audrey helped me keep my vows on track and she organized the ceremony flow for us. Our guests enjoyed her during the ceremony most importantly, as did we!"

These two chose to have an outdoor wedding in rural Montana. They are outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers and wanted a space that would accommodate guests traveling in campers, tents and needing cabins. We incorporated self-written vows and a little ritual with love notes to open on their tenth anniversary, sealed up in a wooden box. They had a ring warming and invited a friend to read a blessing. I worked to engage the congregation multiple times - physically, emotionally and spiritually. I'm so glad it felt good to them too!

I wrote back,
"Lydia and Bradley- your ceremony was so filled with the joy and dedication that you each bring to your union and the delight of your friends and family in celebrating you. It was my true honor to stand with you as your promises unfolded and expanded into each moment. I enjoyed your guests and you!! So happy the feeling was mutual- thank you for taking the time to share these sentiments. Much love, Audrey"

Sometimes you just want to get out of town and look around. Traveling in Montana is one of my favorite things to do and though I often fall asleep when I’m in the passenger seat, every stop provides glorious views of great diversity. Here’s a glimpse from my trip to Red Lodge to visit family last week.

Did I share this yet? A couple I married got featured in this alternative wedding blog- they did a little private ceremony with me and then later got all fancy for their photo shoot in the mountains. She's a floral designer and in the wedding industry herself. It is so fun to see them posing in our local mountains looking dreamy and delightful. My interaction with them was brief and sweet. I remember them taking some time to meet the local squirrels in the city park where we signed the papers :)
