It's back to school week! Each Wednesday during the school year Betsy and her husband Pat tutor students after school. Regardless of the current COVID climate, the Atkins family plans to continue dedicating their time to this rewarding experience.

We got to spend this day canvassing neighborhoods with the family and meeting a host of wonderful Pike Road residents along the way. We got to hear lots of exciting stories. What stands out the most is an encounter I had with a sweet lady who had recently lost her husband unexpectedly. She reminded me that relationships are important, especially the one we have with our Savior. Finally, we ended our day canvasing in this great community being prayed over by a sweet friend.
God is good all the time. All the time, God is good.

Today is another great day for Pike Road Schools!
I am excited to announce that Amwaste, the service provider I have worked closely with for the last several years, has finalized an agreement with the Ramsay Education Foundation to provide incredible educational opportunities for Pike Road students.
Beginning this Fall, Amwaste will sponsor 2 classes on building Foundations in Personal Finance and 1 class on Entrepreneurship.
This is just one more example of what building relationships and partnering with quality organizations can do to help our community, our schools and our children.

This year’s ‘New Teacher’ Breakfast at Pike Road Schools looked a bit different than last year. It was so nice to welcome them to our school!
I am so proud and encouraged to see the ways that our school district, and the Town of Pike Road, have stepped up to adapt to today’s COVID-19 environment.
