All the love I have for my career was recognized last night at the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters. I can count on one hand how long I’ve been in the news business, which shows I’m definitely not a vet but to be in a room with so many, speaks volume.

I’ve only been anchoring full time a little over a year and I’m beyond thankful to have received Third Place News Anchor. Thank you WDAM 7 for giving me the opportunity. My passion truly lies in storytelling and I was granted Second Place in a special report.

Overall, the team rocked out too with awards. Even the best Sunrise meteorologist, Ryan Mahan WDAM placed First for Weather Anchor. Congrats everyone, I look forward to next year✨.
