Please make sure your athlete has their bag and a change of clothes for practice! There is a soccer game going on same time so please try to be early as parking will be crazy!

We apologize for any inconvenience but cheer registration is closed. We have extremely high numbers which is amazing for our program and for our athletes but we need to manage numbers with the amount of uniforms we have.

If you missed registration this year, we can put you on a wait list or keep an eye on our page for sign up info around March!

Jeff and I are so proud to announce the safe arrival of our sweet boy, Beau David Garrett, who was on born 04/01/2023 at 7:43pm. Beau weighed 5lbs 14oz and is 18.5 inches long.

Our sweet little boy has joined us at just 36 weeks gestation after a multitude of gestational issues for Momma and baby.

We left our last bi-weekly OB check Thursday (3/30/23) to be transferred via ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital (safest place for Mom and baby) to start the induction process early the next morning. After hours of contractions and dilating, and pushing for 6.5 hours, we finally got to meet our sweet little boy.

He has been in the NICU since birth but is doing well considering all that we went through.

I’d be completely remiss if I didn’t shout-out the best birth team:

Jeff has been the absolute best pregnancy/birth partner. Jeff has been 110% involved since we found out we were pregnant - and was a rockstar of a husband and birth partner as he counted 1-10 x3 for every contraction for 6.5 hours 😅 He has gone above and beyond postpartum and I’m so SO grateful for him and for the beautiful life WE created 💚

Being raised by your grandparents is already such a privilege, but having a grandparent present AND involved for the birth of their great grandchild (from their oldest grandchild) is even more of a privilege. I don’t know at what point during the laboring process my Grandma walked in the door (thanks magnesium) but I am so glad she did. To hold her hand, for her to hold my leg and shoulders, for her praises, for her to be my photographer while he was whisked away to the NICU team and I was being worked on, was everything I didn’t know I needed. I am just so lucky. ❤️

To be comfortable enough to birth a baby in front of your mother-in-law speaks volumes. Much like my grandma, I don’t know at what point during the laboring process my MIL walked in, but I am so glad she did. To have another positive voice in the room, a familiar touch as she held a leg or a hand, or both hands as I was worked on post delivery for quite some time (Jeff and my grandma were with the NICU team) was also everything I didn’t know I needed. I am so thankful for the full support of my in-laws pre and postpartum ❤️

To my Sissa & Aunt on the other end of the phone - knowing you were behind me 100% was special and encouraging ❤️

As so many doctors and nurses (really, the room was packed) put it, we had a beautiful birth team and support system ❤️

We cannot wait to be home to start our journey as a family of 3 😘

First round of sign-ups will be April 24th from 5-7 at the community center. Please be sure to have the 2023 registration form (found on flyfcl.com/forms) as well as birth certificate, picture and physical dated past 7/1/2022. ALL paperwork must be submitted at sign ups or it will not be accepted. Flexibility on the physical form of the date is prior to 7/1/22. The varsity coaches will be hosting a tumbling clinic after ours!! Such a great opportunity for our cheer leaders! Coach carr and coach Nicole will be heading this!

NJR has teamed up with AECC to offer a cheer clinic for athletes kindergarten through 8th grade. This is an awesome opportunity for those who have interest in cheering as well as those who have already been engaged in our program or similar. At this time this clinic is only being offered to those who live or cheer in newark due to limited spaces. Thank you❤️

The clinic will be 4 sessions, 2/28, 3/2, 3/7 and 3/9 from 5:30-7pm at the Perkins school gym.

Sorry for this newS- but a cheerleader on a school team has head lice. Please be proactive and checking your child’s head. As we were all on mats this Thursday. (The fairytales preventative spray is excellent if they don’t have it- and lotts of hair spray for Sunday!

Good morning cheer parents!! Our annual flyflc cheer leagues competition is fast approaching! Sunday at RIT.

All Newark parents typically sit together. We will have a banner up above where we sit.
They will have concessions. All athletes need to be there by 9 am 📣📣🔥📣🔥🔥📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣
At the latest!!! Doors for parents open at 9:30 but trust me - get in line early!! Every school from our league will be there. It will be a drop off like usual . Please have your athlete dressed and prepared for the day. It will be a very long day with a lot of down time for them. Make sure everything is labeled!! They will need snacks and clear drinks through out the day. Please please pack them. Make sure any food is contained in either a lunch type bag or a large baggie so their clothes won’t get dirty. Coaches will be on hand to help with hair. No jewelry of any kind! Not even stud earrings or clear earrings. We will get points deducted for even a hair tie on the wrist.
Please pack a few things for the athletes to do- (coloring books, uno, other simple items) coaches will not be responsible for lost or stolen phones, iPods, earbuds or any other personal property. If your child brings it- make sure they are responsible to remember it.
Everyone will need a zip up sweat shirt or warm up jacket to eat in. Please do not send them with bodies as taking it on and off messes up their hair.
Hair for all athletes will be a bun. If you have issues putting it up - please let us know we can help. Everyone needs to purchase a bun donut. You can get them at the dollar tree, real deals, Walmart, and dollar general. The hair goes into a high pony first. Donut goes on over. It’s super simple and many great YouTube videos available! If there are any questions- please feel free to ask!

These parents are trying to get a bunch or all of the parents from each team for coaches gifts for end of season. Please reach out to them via Facebook messenger- or tomorrow at the competition. Hello cheer families! Next weekends cheer competition is Saturday at midlakes. flag team needs to be there between 7-7:15 at the latest !! C team needs to be there by 9:30. And B team by 12:00. There will be a flag awards, c team awards and b team awards.
