Here are the different types of files you can use in Silhouette Cameo. You need Business Edition or higher to use these files. That be said, you can use the description to learn about file types.

If your like me you love color, but I have a hard time putting colors together until I found this. So I keep it in Silhouette and use the eye dropper to pick colors I want. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Here is a little something you can work on while you wait for your machines to arrive. Build a file folder named "SIL FILES". Here is a list of what you can call each individual folder if you choose. You can add or delete names to make it your own. Make SUB folders under things like Holidays and Sports, etc.. Your going to want to build these on you laptop or desktop so you can save them to a USB so if you system crashes you don't your files.🥰

File Types: .DXF .JPG .PNG .EPS and .SVG
Studio3 File
Studio3 as well as .studio are exclusive to silhouette software.
Ready to cut as soon as you open them.
Buy these files in the Silhouette Store or on Facebook or blogs.
* Create your own design in Silhouette Studio,
* Building your own allows you to save them as a Studio3 file.
DXF File – DXF = Drawing Exchange Format.
This format is widely used in Autocad software and can be used with your Silhouette.
DXF is a cut ready file, that can be used in the free BASIC Silhouette.
Can ungroup and or released compound and able to move the individual pieces around.
Important note: You must turn your cut lines on to use this file.
SVG File – SVG = Scalable Vector Graphics.
SVG is a vector format created in programs such as Affinity
Designer, GIMP or Inkscape.
* SVG’s can only be used in Designer and Business Edition
Important note: You must turn your cut lines on to use this file.EPS File – EPS = Encapsulated Postscript.
Used in graphic software like Affinity Designer.
Must have Business Edition to open these files.
You will be able to be ungrouped or released compound.
Sometimes cut lines are on these, however you may need to turn
them on sometimes.

Must trace your image in order to cut.
Used frequently as a Print and Cut.PNG File – PNG = Portable Network Graphics
