I miss Jason just like the rest of you! As his mom, I loved him differently, only a mom knows that kind of love. I loved him even when I did not like him. I loved the challenges he gave me, and there were many! I love when he was 17, screeched into the drive and asked, "Have the cops been here yet?" I loved him when he got in trouble. I loved him when he made me mad. I loved him when he proved me wrong. I loved him when he scared me. I loved him when he acted like me. I loved him when he did EXACTLY the opposite thing I told him to do. When a mother loves her child, it is the good and the bad that make them a whole, so you love them for who they are. Jason was no angel! But he was loving, generous, kind, funny, smart, annoying as hell, and I loved all of him. But today, today I celebrate the lasting impression you made on so many great people. You live on in all you gave to others. The lessons you learned from your own mistakes gave you the foresight to do right when you had another opportunity. The lessons I learned from you are forever imprinted on my heart...and there were many, I just did not admit who my teacher was. Love and Miss you every day! Thank you for letting me be your Mom!

If only we could Freeze Moments in Time. I came across this picture of a hailstone (Photo Credit Tim Marshall) on one of the storm chaser sites that I follow during Hurricane Season. I immediately looked at it as a brain freeze. If only we could freeze time to hopefully find a cure for our warriors. (although I am sure this Hailstorm wreaked havoc on many lives!)

Just a few of the 10 Proclamations that the cities and counties in my area presented to recognize "Go Gray in May" for Brain Cancer Awareness! If you are interested in doing this in your community for Glioblastoma Awareness Day on July 17th, I will be drafting a simple "How To" soon. Everyone should be able to get their County and / or City to do a proclamation, and if you are close to the capitol, they will normally do one signed by the Governor. First step is to find which public public meeting is closest & prior to the 7/18/24 date. Most information regarding meeting dates, times and submission deadlines can be found online. Message me if you have trouble finding this information.

Glioblastoma Support Network

Our Mission is to provide a one-stop online resource for health care partners, and caregivers of anyone suffering from GBM from diagnosis to life after GBM. Access to clinical trial information, support from other caregivers through a mentorship program, and raising awareness through critical partnerships with other organizations involved in fighting GBM and seeking a cure.

Our Vision

We envision a future with extended lifespan after diagnosis, more dignified deaths, and less trauma to the loved ones caring for the GBM patient at end of life through support and advocacy of the caregivers of GBM.
