🎉✨Two years ago today I took a leap. ⁣
I dove in head first and I signed my name on the dotted line of a legal document naming me the next 7 year tenant of this space. ⁣
It was terrifying. ⁣
I felt paralyzingly overwhelmed with fear, pride, anxiety and hope. I’ve never felt more alive. ⁣
Directly after I walked out of the realty office I thought, did I do my math right, can I afford this? Maybe this won’t work out. Was this all a terrible decision? I was so confused, I cried eating a hard boiled egg and then decided to have shot of tequila. (True story) ⁣

This salon has been a beautiful adventure so far and I am grateful for every single moment and opportunity to learn and grow. I am proud to say here I am, a small business owner doing it. Every hard task, every overwhelming thing, every bit of it I am humbled by and grateful for. ⁣

Just when you think you can’t, you can. Keep your head high, you haven’t even begun to show your greatness. ⁣
I am here to tell you, you can. ⁣
Go out there and be great, dust yourself off and don’t let anyone or anything trick you into thinking you aren’t capable. You are a hundred times more capable than you think. ⁣

I did this color on my beautiful sister Aimee about two weeks before we were allowed to reopen last year, kind of like a retraining for myself. Kind of nuts to bring myself back. ⁣

I didn’t reinvent myself during shutdown, I didn’t learn new skills or even study my own craft. I simply got by and survived, it wasn’t pretty. It was a lot of overeating, drinking and a ton of tears and uncertainty. ⁣
It pushed me into places I never knew existed, and to be honest I’m grateful. I went through it all, every emotion and today I know I’m better because of it. ⁣
Today I am stronger and hungry for more, today is the day, I now know I have the entire world at my fingertips. ⁣
