A lady reached out to me out of the blue yesterday. She needs a repo removed before being able to close on her house (November 24th).

This is 1 of the WORST things that can happen during the process of buying a house. 🚫 Yes you can you can fix your own credit (correct). However you need to know what accounts to remove and WHY⁉️

Credit Repair is NOT all about DELETIONS/REMOVING accounts. If she does not get this taken care of then she will LOSE all her money/house.

How to get late payments deleted:
The simplest approach is to just ask your lender to take the late payment off your credit report. In doing so, you're removing the late payment information from the SOURCE so that it won't come back later. You can request the change in two ways:
1.) Call your lender and ask to have the late payment deleted. USUALLY, the first person that answers the phone will NOT be able to help you. POLITELY (KEYWORD) ask to ESCALATE the issue and speak with a manager or billing department that can approve your request. Once you have them on the line, tell them your situation and what caused you to be late.
2.) Write a letter and ask for removal. It is known as a goodwill letter, these requests allow you to formally explain why the payment should be removed. Make sure to Include proof that supports your case-the more, the better.
It may not work on the first try. Persistence is KEY!
