QUALITY TIME
I finally got around to finishing that I did alongside my daughter during the hosted by

Quality time is by far my youngest child’s love language and when I look at this piece that is exactly what I think of. Life can get busy as an artist, business owner and mother of 3. When you are the youngest you especially robbed of 1-1 time. But on this day, instead of being carted to a soccer game or being patient while I finish my work she and I laughed, got messy, talked and simply played together.

I savor these moments and pray I can store them in my heart forever ❤️❤️

Happy 15th Birthday Nugget! 🥳 You are the kid who makes me laugh out loud every single day! You have always been such a character and I am loving the young man you are becoming. Your heart, loyalty and leadership teach me so much! Hard to believe you are a Freshman this year. Where did those chubby cheeks go? You are a force on and off the field and it is such a privilege to be your mom. Love you always!

EVENING WITH PENROD
Is the BEST date night and this year you can find me painting live while you stroll the grounds of Newfields with your favorite tasty beverage and enjoy all the goodies at this special event.

16 years ago you made me a mommy. Man I was not prepared for it but you made parenting seem easy with your sweet spirit and disposition. You possess wisdom beyond your years and curiosity for learning anything new! Your humor keeps us laughing and knits our family together. You shepherd your siblings so well and guide them with love. We could not be more proud of the young man you are and we pray this year is as sweet as you are! Happy 16th birthday Caleb!!! Never forget how loved you are ♥️

My sweet baby girl ended her final day of summer in the ER after a bad fall on her bike but she started her first day of school all smiles with some new hardware 😊

FEELING PEACHY
A friend of mine who volunteers with the asked me to donate a piece of art for a fundraiser to help breast cancer research 🔬…so I painted two!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
My mom moved in with us last Summer and it has been such a joy having her here doing life with our busy family. She is away this month in Scotland living her best creative life on an artist retreat with never slows down, pursues creativity, loves fiercely and cusses a little. I couldn’t love her more! ♥️ I wish you mommas out there all the love you pour out on others.

This week I celebrated my 46th birthday and got my braces off! I feel like a new woman ♥️ Here’s to a year full of buttery popcorn and sticky toffee 😂

I LOVE COMMISSIONS💕

How thrilled was I when a young engaged couple reached out to have me create a special painting for their future bedroom!

They were just the best clients to work with and I wish them many blessings and years of love!

EXCITED FOR SPRING BREAK?

I must be! Beaches have taken over my paint wall.

I’m so looking forward to installing my April feature show and then spending some time with my family in San Diego. I’ll be checking off a bucket list item while we are there - I’ll be swimming with a dolphin!!! 🤗👏

WHEN YOU HAVE ADHD…
you may have a lot of projects going at one time.

I find it helpful to keep my mind focused by having multiple paintings to work on at once.

Honestly, I recommend this for EVERYONE who paints with acrylics:

1. It keeps you busy working when you need to allow wet layers to dry

2. Gives you fresh eyes to easily see what needs to happen next.

3. Stepping away when you feel stuck keeps you from over-working and getting frustrated

4. Never waste paint again because you can always slap it on a grounding layer of a new canvas 😛
