Long personal post, but feel I need to let my clients/friends know that I have been struggling with a bad kidney infection. It's in my bloodstream as well and I'm not doing the greatest. I've been fighting this for a few weeks now, got a little better-briefly, but now I'm back down. I'm keeping a running list of those I have to get in to the salon, but I'm just not sure when I'll be back at it. I love and appreciate all of you who are holding out for me, but understand if you can't wait.
My optimism of feeling better is fading. I'd appreciate your prayers right now❤️

Try to understand- As a person who provides a service to others:
I schedule appointments so I can utilize my time to the best of my ability. I am not only a salon owner and hairdresser. I am a mom, homeschool teacher, church organist and am involved in various groups and organizations where I dedicate volunteering time. My time is valuable! I schedule everything and do my best to ALWAYS fulfill my obligations. It is rare I ever have to reschedule someone and I certainly do my best to not have to because I understand your time has value as well.
So, in my industry I will schedule your appointment depending on the time that the service requires. If you are scheduled for a color, then decide when you arrive that you changed your mind and now just want a trim.. that means I am now, not making money for that 2 hours I had you scheduled for. And possibly could have scheduled someone else(additional cuts or whatever)in that time. If something comes up, an emergency...I understand, but hearing replies like, "I forgot " or " I'm tired. Don't feel like it".. then you clearly don't understand my value or worse you don't care.
So, once this happens then I won't see your time as valued and it may be best you find some place else.

Something to ask yourself; when you leave the salon, does your hair feel healthy and soft? Does it feel healthy after a couple of shampoo's? BOTH the health and beauty of your hair is my goal! I will NOT destroy the integrity of your hair for a color that will just slide off your hair.
