***FINAL UPDATE***
Walter has now found his forever home. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who reached out, shared and reposted, and supported his journey. Walter is truly an amazing dog and I am forever thankful that he was able to be a part of my life. He taught me a million lessons during his time with us and I will always have a special place in my heart for him. May all of the dogs who I work and play with in the future experience the growth I gained because of this dog. Thank you again for everyone’s help. And to all of the people who shamed us under this post, I sincerely hope that one day you will get properly educated on what it means to be put in the situation we were in.

Thank you SO much to everyone who has shared and reached out! We have had a couple meet and greets with some amazing people who want to help give Walter his forever home. If you’re waiting to hear back from us we are thankful for your patience as we’ve had a lot of people reach out. Thank you everyone!

EDIT****
Walter is 18 months old, UTD, neutered and has been in our training facility for the last 10 months. We're not a foster or a rescue and have exhausted all of our resources of caring for or placing him. We will be scheduling visits at our facility in Smithfield on Saturdays. We have given as much as we can for this guy and the deadline is September 1st unfortunately. If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be interested please share and reach out!!
***URGENT***
WALTER IS UP FOR ADOPTION! Urban Tails has been fostering Walter for almost a year. We have exhausted all of our resources for him. If he does not find a home by September we will have to opt for euthanasia. He is perfectly crate and ecollar trained. He has been working on the core 15 cues for the past year. He is extremely sweet and a tennis ball and pool enthusiast. Like any other dog though, he comes with rules. He is not a fan of strangers, but we know plenty of dogs that have lived and currently live fulfilling lives with the same rules Walter has. Please share and repost so Walter can find a home!

Dogs should be crated in the vehicle for safety. Most dogs get overwhelmed and frustrated in a moving vehicle as well so its not great for their mental health. They're predators and designed to track fast moving prey, imagine how fast moving objects are out the window. Even dogs who love a great car ride are killed instantly by a deployed air bag or ejected and crushed during a crash. We have a dog with us 99% of the time and have outfitted our trucks to make sure they are as safe as possible and to make sure the tempature is monitored but we still let some out of the crates. We know the risks and make a decision. Just up the road to get ice cream with two well behaved German Shepherds.......

Urban Tails is seeking dedicated and compassionate part-time kennel attendants to join our team! If you have a heart for animals and a desire to contribute to their well-being, we want to hear from you! As a part-time kennel attendant your responsibilities will include:

Enrichment: Engaging with our animals to ensure they receive love and social interaction, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kennels and the work environment.

Teamwork: Collaborating with our dedicated staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
