Carnivorous plants need specific care. They cannot have nutrients in their soil or water.
Soil: no nutrient added peet moss, or spanghum moss without nutrients. Do not use Miracle grow brand as it has nutrients and this will burn your carnivorous friend.
Water: Distilled water or rain water. Nutrients are the enemy and will burn your new friend!
Carnivorous plants cannot dry out. They must sit in a tray of water at all times. A disposable nursery pot in a glass or plastic tray of distilled or rain water will work. Terra cotta will NOT work. It will leak... NUTRIENTS!
Carnivorous plants love the sun but will burn in Oklahoma summers! Do not leave them in direct sunlight in the summer. These 3 carnivorous plants do not need special care in the winter. They will freeze outside, just bring them in and carry on until summer.
