We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday, and every year she gets really excited about filling up a piñata for her birthday party. Piñatas are a hit with children but they are another added expense and definitely one of those birthday “supplies” that you can do without. Especially, since the usual suspects inside contain refined sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup and have lots of artificial flavors.

Rest assured, there are ways to celebrate a birthday using an eco piñata and cleaner goodies for the little ones. We have made it a tradition in our family to fill our piñata with all things arts and crafts like fun pencils, special crayons, beautiful stickers. For sweets we had 1-2 options of cleaner and healthier choices that are free of dyes, processed sugars and artificial flavors.

I LOVE making dessert, especially those that are guilt-free 😄
This week we offered vegan Panna Cotta with berry coulis which is a fancy name for berry sauce.

The "secret" ingredient that is used to make this panna cotta vegan is agar agar which is a type of seaweed that supports the digestive system, supports satiety and weight loss.
