While many counted me out, God did not count me out.

Even sometimes, I was wondering maybe I was forgotten by Him.
He proved to me that He didn’t.

While He was silent, He was still working.

I am thankful x10 to have been given a spot to work towards becoming a proficient nurse!

Jehovah saw fit that this Haitian-American First Generation student can do this thing. Thanks for Higher, Dad.

-Kindly signed,
Your grateful daughter.

It’s Haitian Heritage Month y’all ! Reminiscing on that time where I had the opportunity to visit The Haitian Heritage Museum in Miami ! It’s a must-see as it reflect our history and it’s great way to get familiar with it. History affects the presence and influences the future; as they say “Only look backward to see how far you have come”. But one’s can use it as well as inspiration to move forward.

I remember when I start this process of competing for Miss TransforMe Ayiti, oh boy, I was so scared. It was very uncomfortable because it was something new where I have to put in display my intelligence, the things that I care about, my passion and my fervor for my platform. I was being vulnerable to others and I didn’t like that because I enjoyed being in my comfortable place. What I didn’t know is on May 2nd 2019, at the end of the night, I was going to be crowned Miss TransforMe Ayiti and it was going to the start of an exploring journey.

•This title put in display my leadership qualities. It taught me that speaking is front of people can be rewarding. Because I dealt with a few scars in the past, I didn’t think I deserve to do self care and look good. Carrying this title forces to learn how to take care of myself physically, mentally and emotionally. And most importantly, it help me to start running from my calling and help me to realize that what it takes is already inside of me.

•The takeaway: God will use those things that you like to drive you to your purpose and calling. Enjoy the journey because at the end, you will be amazed.

Happy International Pageant Day!

•While we always acknowledged our leaders and great message they have provided to us, I think it’s also important to ask ourselves what have we done with the motivation.

•While the claps, the likes...are very appreciated, the true reward is seeing the work, actions and decisions that come from listening those great talks and putting the inspiration to work.

• I remember that I used to listen to great talks from all great leaders and renowned speakers. After the talk, I went right back to my comfort zone. Until it was not serving me anymore!

•Take the decision today to stop running from fear. And try something new. You might not get it right the first time. But you can adjust your game as you go along until you get the wanted results. One thing: you have to start!

•Grateful is an understatement to describe the way I am feeling. Brandon Lee encourages us to not only live but to leave our marks and footprints. I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to contribute in decorating, making benches and artworks for an elementary school in Belize. Seeing the joy and ☺️ happiness in those kids’ face was priceless when the principal told them about our project. Remember, you never waste your time by serving someone. 💫💫

One of my life goal was to take part in a mission trip. And God gives me the opportunity to fulfill that goal this year. There’s is something special about serving. My reward is seeing the joy and smile in the faces of the one that I serve.

From meeting those girls to the first time, to seeing the surprise and the excitement on their faces when I speak to them in their native language to getting to know them through dialogues and the workshops; grateful will be an understatement. Thank you to the TransforMe Ayiti Organization for giving me an opportunity to be part of something greater than myself. Just like Christ has done it and showed it to us.
