Famous People Buried in Waiola Cemetery:
- Keōpūolani (1778 - Sep 16, 1823), the sacred wife of Kamehameha I.
- Kaumualiʻi (1780 - May 26, 1824), the last king of Kauaʻi.
- Nāhiʻenaʻena, (1813 - Dec 1836), daughter of Kamehameha and Keōpūolani. Her remains, along with her mother, were moved from Mokuʻula to Waiola Cemetery by Princess Pauahi.
- Hoapili (Jan 3, 1840), Governor of Maui.
- Kuini Liliha (1802 - Aug 25, 1839), daughter of Hoapili and wife of Boki.
- Kekauʻōnohi (1805 - Jun 2, 1851), Governor of Kauaʻi and a wife to Kamehameha II.
- Kalakua Kaheiheimalie, (1778 - Jan 16, 1842) the wife of Hoapili. She donated land to build Lāhainaluna Seminary.
