After much thought over the past several weeks, we have decided to put a pause on racing for awhile. This decision comes as we are going to focus on building a better future for our family in the meantime. We would like to say thank you to the fans that believed in us and a huge thank you to the sponsors that have supported us from the beginning and joined us along the way! We look forward to working with you again in the future. This isn’t goodbye it’s see you later! It may be the same class or it may be different, we will cross that bridge when we get there!

Weekend update for the T25 crew! The car is fixed up from last weekend but we have decided to take tonight off and just race Vinton this week. We’ll then regroup and go over everything before we hit up some new tracks for fall specials in the coming weeks!

Only a week late on the post but we went to Indee last Saturday. In the heat started 6th and finished 9th. In the feature we had a really good car, started 9th and I was working my way through the field and working on 5th when I blew a right rear tire which ended our night. We will not be at Indee tonight but we will be in Vinton tomorrow night!

We went to Independence last night for our second night of the year. Started first in the heat and finished 4th putting us in the redraw, we drew 1st for the feature. On the start we blew a right rear tire in the first corner, thankfully a caution came out and it gave the Olson crew and my brother enough time to get it changed and tag the field from the back. We finished 11th overall in the feature. This coming weekend we will be in Indee on Saturday and Vinton on Sunday!

Unloaded and ready for our first night in Indee!!

After a long weekend of finishing the car we were planning on racing Vinton last night, unfortunately when it came time to load the car we had some clutch issues. We were already running behind so we decided to stay home. On a positive note, I think we got it figured out and we will be in Vinton this Sunday! Happy Father’s Day to all!! We won’t be at the track tonight as we are waiting for some parts. But we are looking to be out there soon!

Got the car picked up last Friday from Ryno Metal Fabrication as well as Apex Decal and Signs who did a killer job on the body and wrap again this year! Be sure to check them out for any sign work or fabrication needs. We are down to small things on the car and they should be finished up this weekend and next week. The goal is to be racing our first night in Vinton next Sunday, June 12th.

Merry Christmas from our little family! 🎄

Well, life has settled down a little bit after having our little one and it’s time to start getting ready for a big 2022 season in the hobby stock. With that being said Takes Racing is looking for sponsors to join the team next season. We have a large to-do list this off season to get the car in tip top shape and get spare parts since it is a new class for us. The tentative plan is to race weekly at Independence on Saturday and Vinton on Sunday with occasional trips to Marshalltown as well as specials throughout the season. Last night we made it to Dubuque for the first of three nights of racing and the first full night with the hobby stock! I started 3rd in the heat and finished in the same spot making the redraw and drew 2nd for the feature. In the feature I had a little help going around in the first corner and we both got sent to the back. I was able to dive back up to a 10th place finish. Huge thank you to everyone that has helped so far this weekend and to all my sponsors who help make this possible!

Just a little update since it’s been awhile! As some may know already, we sold the micro mod and bought a hobby stock towards the end of the season. We didn’t plan on taking the hobby stock out at all this year but decided to get the car ready and went to Dubuque on their season championship night to get some seat time before next year. We had to start in the back of the heat and stayed there to get a feel for the car. After the heat was over the car started having carb issues and wouldn’t stay running so we got back to the pits and tried to get it fixed but weren’t able to get it going before the feature and had to call it a night.

This week we plan on finishing our season with a fall special back in Dubuque for the Iowa Dirt Nationals on Thursday and Friday!

Unfortunately, our plans to go to Vinton tonight won’t be happening as last night resulted in a second blown motor. It’s been a tough season and we’ve decided to call it quits for the year. Since it’s been awhile since I’ve posted I figured I’d give a little update on what’s been going on. As most people know, I blew the engine in the car several weeks ago and I haven’t raced since. In the meantime I’ve enjoyed some time off with family and friends and also found another engine to put in the car. My hopes are to be back at Independence this Saturday. While I have been off I have made the tough decision that after this weekend the car and all spares will be for sale. The plan moving forward is to move up to a hobby stock by the end of the year!

Unfortunately, we are loaded up early tonight due to a patch on the block giving out in the heat race. I don’t know if there is any internal damage yet but I will be pulling the engine and taking it to get checked out this week. Hoping it’s an easy fix and we’ll be back soon!

Last night we made our way to West Union for the first time. Logan drew 80, that started him 5th in his heat. The car was finally working the way it should, he finished 4th but got disqualified for a bar length being too short. He got it swapped out and started 15th in the feature and drove his way up to 5th, also bringing home the hard charger award.

We will be at Independence tonight looking for another successful night of racing!

Little update from the T25 crew! Unfortunately, we won’t be at Independence tonight due to work. Starting next weekend we will be there weekly, I will be starting a new job where I have three day weekends! With that being said, I will also be making the trip to West Union on Friday nights. I’m not sure if it will be weekly yet or not but our first night there will be May 28th! Also, be sure to check the online shirt store for any T25 apparel!
