Join us this Tuesday, April 23rd anytime from 5-9 pm for a Chipotle fundraiser! The fundraiser is located at the Chipotle off Highway 89 (not Milton). Swing by anytime during these hours and enjoy some food to support HCLC! All proceeds will go towards keeping our lactation services free for un/underinsured families in northern Arizona. We hope you stop by!

Wise Wednesday!

Minimize the risk of precious milk going to waste by considering freezing or storing milk in various quantities. Freezing smaller portions, such as two or three ounces adjusted to your baby's age, enables you to thaw only the required amount. Additionally, having one or two ounce bags handy ensures you're prepared for moments when your baby prefers smaller feedings.

Happy International Board Certified lactation Consultant Day! We are so grateful for all the IBCLC's who transform world health through lactation care, but we are especially excited to celebrate Maya and Dani!

Maya and Dani are an essential part of many breastfeeding journeys here in Northern Arizona, as they both work so hard to support mothers and families. From helping to establish breastfeeding routines to addressing milk supply and feeding issues, these two women and IBCLC's around the world, provide the gold standard of care in lactation.

Have you ever had your Haakaa fall off while using it?

We have a trick for you! First, grab 2 hair ties (or rubber bands). Attach them together to create 2 loops connected in the middle. Hook one loop over your nursing bra clasp and the other loop around the neck of your Haakaa fl**ge. This will create enough tension to keep your Haakaa in place so it’ll stay upright, no matter what crazy kick action happens while your baby is nursing!

There are many cues your baby will show you they are hungry before they cry or get really fussy! These are just a few examples! Remember, every baby is different, so it's essential to tune in to your little one's unique cues and feeding patterns. Trust your instincts and feed your baby whenever they seem hungry, even if it doesn't perfectly align with a schedule. Happy feeding! 🍼💕
